What Directory is the "MVPMC Share"

I just got my Popcorn Hour and have gotten it to use its software to access files on my PC.

Now I want to have it use the GBPVR interface. The Installation and Survival Guide refers to setting up an "mvpmc share" on the PC. What specific directory do I set up the share to point to?

You can have the directory wherever you like. I downloaded the mvpmcx2 files martin supplied in the sticky thread, and extracted them to a new c:\downloads\mvpmc directory, then shared the directory as "mvpmc".

Now, for another simple question, I see reference to "/etc/mvpmc/". What is that?

When you start mvpmcx2 on the PCH, it mounts the "mvpmc" share on your PC as "/etc/mvpmc" on the PCH.

Hi, how do I connect to that share ?

When I from PCH via Setup/Network share try to browse to my PC (PVR150) I get "NO CONTENS FOUND ON SERVER"", Am I missing something ?

I had a USB keyboard connected when I set mine up, and typed "smb://machinename/mvpmc" instead of browsing.

This was the bit I never saw in the doco for setting up the mvpmc share, took me a good 20 mins to figure out I wanted an SMB share to windows not an NFS.

Wonder if it's worth adding to mvallevand's sticky? or was i just thinck?

You can use an NFS share if you want.
