Hi folks:

I added a 2nd Hauppauge PVR-500 MCE card to my setup, and unfortunately, only 1 Capture Source is working now. I get nothing but conflicts when entering a 2nd simultaneous record event.

Previously, I had 2 sources on the first card working fine.

In one section of the GBPVR website, it mentions setting 1 tuner to "PVR500" and the 2nd tuner to "PVR500 with FM Tuner". I assume this is -per card-, so therefore my dual setup -should- be:

setup A:

Card #1:
Source 1:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500
Board Number: Capture Device #1
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500 with FM Tuner
Board Number: Capture Device #1

Card #2:
Source 1:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500
Board Number: Capture Device #2
Source 2:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500 with FM Tuner
Board Number: Capture Device #2

--------------------------

However, I also tried this:

Card #1:
Source 1:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500
Board Number: Capture Device #1
Source #2:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500 with FM Tuner
Board Number: Capture Device #2

Card #2:
Source 1:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500
Board Number: Capture Device #3
Source #2:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500 with FM Tuner
Board Number: Capture Device #4

----------------------------------------------------

I also tried setting them all to "PVR500", with Capture Devices set to 1,2 (2 tuners each Board), as well as 1,2,3,4 (one tuner per Board), and still no luck.

Running P4 2.4, WinXP Pro SP3

Can anyone help? thank you very much.

Mick

yes, and it says:

Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx) (Tuner 1)
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx) (Tuner 1)
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx) (Tuner 2)
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx) (Tuner 2)

I guess that would indicate that there should only be 2 Board Numbers in my setup?

Just tried it again, no luck.

thanks

im sure they should be numbered 1 to 4
do that then try recording 4 things and zip and post your logs (logs are in gbpvr folder)
someone will be able to tell you whats wrong

it says

device #1 is PVR500 with FM
device #2 is PVR500 with FM
device #3 is PVR500
device #4 is PVR500

excellent, thanks for the tip.

I uninstalled then installed v1.2.13 in the meantime.

GBPVR continues to disallow me from entering One Time manual recordings, and conflicts exist when entering 2 or more shows with overlapping times, so therefore I am unable to test my config.

Will try again tomorrow, will see about the logs.

thanks

Card #1:
Source 1:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500
Board Number: Capture Device #1
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500 with FM Tuner
Board Number: Capture Device #1

Card #2:
Source 1:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500
Board Number: Capture Device #2
Source 2:
Capture Card Type: Hauppauge PVR500 with FM Tuner
Board Number: Capture Device #2

On both of these you have the capture cart type as pvr500 with FM tuner.

Have you tried one with FM Tuner (probably number 1), and one without?
