How to use two cards

Hi,

I just bought a DVB-C card (tt dvb-c 1501). With the card I can recieve the same channels as with the analog card pvr-350 that I allready use - plus a few more. Since the qualtiy with the dvb-c card is better then analog I like to use it as the primery record source and from time to time I like to use the analog card to record two programms at the same time. This brings me to the following questions:

1. EPG - At the moment I use xmltv for the epg and it works fine. But the dvb-c brings more infos on the programm. Therefore I like to use it for epg source. The Information should also be avalibale for the analog card. How can I managed this?

2. Since I like to record primary on the dvb-c card how do I have to setup the Programms. Example BBC, should I some how Name it difrently BBC-Digital and BBC-Analog for example? If not and I call both the same how do I ensure, that it records from the digital card?

In cases like the where some channels with the same names are available via other EPG sources I recommend you stick to xmltv for both rather than trying to mix xmltv+dvbepg.

By default it'll record on the first available capture source with the channel required (as shown in the list in the config app), so put the DVB-C capture source first.

In cases like the where some channels with the same names are available via other EPG sources I recommend you stick to xmltv for both rather than trying to mix xmltv+dvbepg.

I was thinking of using it instead, why do you recommend to use the xmltv then the dvb-c has more information?

I guess I have to use exactly the same names for the program to get this work. It also means to deactivated the dvb-c epg - right? But what about the programs I do not get analog? I have a look then I'm back home.
