cannot start configuration utility

I cannot start the configuration utility. I get the error:

GB-PVR Configuration has encountered a problem and need to close....

The service is running and PVRX2 starts okay too. How can I fix this problem?

Post the config.exe.log and I'll take a look. Also post any message from the Windows Event Viewer.

There is nothing in the system or application log. There is only one entry in the config.exe.log:

Sounds like your .net install is broken.

Well, I dont know what happened, but on shutting down the system, it installed a bunch of updates and after I had re-started it, I was able to launch the config utility.
