mp4 H.264 file format playback

Hi,

I have mp4 file and it plays well in my PC1 but fails to play in PC2.

I have ffdshow as my playback codec in PC2 and it was my understanding that ffdshow can decipher mp4 codec.

Can somebody suggest me the codec I must use to playback mp4 codec?

In PC1 I have set my H.264 default codec to "system default" and I am not sure what is "system default"????

You probably need to install the haali splitter. This is so your machine knows how to break the .mp4 file into audio/video streams, which can then be passed to the decoders you have installed.
