GBPVR not recording on HVR-1600

I've been getting some strange behavior lately. When I record a show and GBPVR uses my HVR-1600, it says its recording but does not actually record anything. When the HVR-1600 is "busy" my PVR-250 and PVR-150 work fine.

I've installed the latest drivers from hauppauge to try to correct it, but it hasn't helped.

What else, I'm using version 1.2.13 but I saw the same thing happen in 1.2.9. It's the analog side of the HVR-1600 (I'm not currently using the digital side).

This particular recording was a scheduled one but I can get similar behavior when I do quick recording too.

I have had this problem from time to time as well with my HVR-1600. So far the only solution I have found is to reboot the computer. I have had it happen on both the digital and analog side of the board.

I have never had this happen when I was using a PVR-250, so I suspect the problem is due to a problem with the Hauppauge driver.

I guess I'll see if I can dig up some Hauppauge Beta drivers.

I have had this problem from time to time as well with my HVR-1600.

I doubt that it helps any, but in 8 months of heavy use I've never seen it on my HVR-1600. I do 90% digital recording.

I sort of solved this issue, I changed my recurring recordings that had a Quality setting of Low to Medium and I haven't missed a recording since.

So I don't know why that worked but it did... (for now)
