CoreAVC ==> No Subtitles

Hi,

I'm using for a very long time GB-PVR now. And I really like it.
But lately I've had allot of codec problems.
With those *****-mkv files.
I used to play them with FFDshow, but 720p files didn't want to play smoothly.
so I've bought me another codoc, CoreAVC.

Now I finally have me a nice configuration: But sub's won't load in GBPVR.

Latest GB-PVR
directvobsub (updated to VSfilter 2.39)
Latest Divx decoder (Divx.com)
Latest CoreAVC decoder.

In Mediaplayer 11 directvobsub get's loaded, but in GBPVR it does not, and only when COREavc coded is used.

Any suggestions? Because I really cannot find another smoothly working codec for mkv files.

In Haali Media Splitter settings, set "Compatibility > Autoload VSFilter" to "yes". However, subtitles will always be on. At least, that's how it works on my system.

However your solution only did not work for me.
I also had to set de preferred output format to YUV2 in CoreAVC.
Only this way Haali media splitter wanted to load VsFilter.

But still, I've made a mistake and activated that Haali Media splitter can also be activated with avi's.

However, this caused no loading of vsfilter with avi's. So I've de-installed all codec's and vsfilter and vobsub reinstalled everything.
However, again sub's won't play with mkv files (coreAVC) And I've selected YUY2 again as output format, but it has no effect now.

Does anybody has a suggestion? Of can somebody offer me a good codec mix so that I can wathc mkv AND avi files With Subs?

I have default settings in CoreAVC, meaning all inputs and all output modes checked.
Enabling vsfilter on in Haali options solved my problems with subs.

i use the vista codec pack and only install vobsub when i want subtitles. works for me in GBPVR or zoomplayer (or any player with avi's or mkv's) along with coreavc codec.

i find that disabling subtitles sometimes changes back to enabled (especially the 300.mkv i have) so i remove directvobsub fully after use.
