OK...getting things set up pretty well now...

On a pc client, I can navigate the TV guide and for analog channels I can select and watch a show.
For ASTC channels when I pick a show to watch it doesn't work. I see right the capture source start to record, but then it stops and goes back to the tv guide.

For analog and digital channels I cannot Record or Quick Record. I can pick it in the UI, but nothing happens.

The same happens when I am in Live TV. I can watch analog fine, but when I try to watch a digital channel it exits back to the menu.

I'm using an HVR-2250.
client and server logs attached.

What mux are you using on the server? If using are using streaming mode it must be .mpg(cyberling or ati). TS will only work if you are using file sharing.

The BDA Mutliplexor on the Misc2 tab is set to TS Mux. Is that what you mean?
mpg is not an option for me.
I thought the TS Mux was required for the Multi-Record support?
Is there any documentation on the different streaming modes and the advantages and disadvantages?

Yes that is what he meant. Only .mpg files can be used with the 'streaming' client/server mode. If you need to use .ts files, then you'll need to try using the 'file sharing' mode instead.

OK. So if I get this straight. With the HVR-2250 ASTC cannot be mpg, but mpg but only ts. So if I want to stream DTV I have to use file sharing.
I've changed to file sharing. In general viewing tv isn't as smooth and pausing doesn't restart properly. Also I still cannot record from the TV guide on the client.
Ideas?
