I'm trying to get GBPVR going with a Pinnacle HD Pro for ATSC and a Pinnacle HD Mini Stick for QAM.

The sticks work in the Pinnacle TV Center Pro software
They are recognized by GBPVR as "present in the system"

When I get to the step for mapping the digital channels to the EPG I get a message box beginning with "GBPVR was unable to start the BDA Device you have configured.... ". Config then crashes

I'm a including a zip file with
bda.ini
filtercheck.log
config.exe.log and
config.exe-native.log

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The filternames match correctly. It failing to connect the tuner and capture filters. Are you sure the device isnt in use by some other software in the machine?

Thanks for the quick reply

The only other software that could talk to it would be the Pinnacle software that came with it. This wasn't running when I tried to config GBPVR. I looked for any Pinnacle related services and processes and couldn't find any. How can I track down what might be locking the card?

I'm probably way off base here as Sub probably would've already seen this in the logs, if it's in the logs (I didn't look), but it seems to me I got this when I was playing with an HVR-1600. The issue was that both the analog and digital tuners have the same device number, 1, if I recall correctly. I was thinking there were two tuners so one was 1 one was 2 but it's really two -separate- tuners, one analog and one digital, so they are treated as individual tuners and each is device #1 to it's driver.

Maybe something like this is your problem too?

I'm not near my htpc right now, but I think there's a utility to tell you what's in your system and what device number they are, isn't there?

Anyway, just my thoughts - hopefully they'll make some sense / help!

Good suggestion, but I did check that. The device number is correct, and its managing to find the various components, but unable to connect them for some release.
