I am sorry, I've been trying for a week to setup my system with an ATI 650 pci -e card.
I cannot be sure I am doing this correctly, because none of the Wiki's have screen shots of ATI cards & alot of the label's seem to not agree to the option's I find in GBpvr Setup.

Currently, this is how I have my Capture source's configured.
I have 1 labeled ATI1.
The "recording source" is set to "digital recording plugin"
I only have that and
"analog recording plugin" and
"analog HighDef Recording plugin"
Available.

Under settings for that, which calls itself "digital source configuration"
Currently I have a field labeled device type & when I choose "only show detected devices"
It shows ATI 650 pro (ATSC) - Selected
or (DVB-T) or (QAM)

With that set, it shows up in my Capture source list as "BDA Recording plugin"

When I go to GBPVR to test live TV, it seems to go away from the menu for a second & fail back to black.

Things I forgot :
OK w/EPG from Schedules direct. It populates the channels.
Channel check box's don't seem to stay populated & the column's are different depending on whether editing my analog or digital

The tuning checker can scan thru channels.
The web interface seems to not be working.
OS is Vista32 bit...
Drivers downloaded vista 32 & 64bit, XP 32 & 64 bit... not sure what my cards are using. I only see "AVI Unified AVStream Driver" in my device manager. Do not see an ATI tuner card.

Did you setup your EPG for your capture source? ie, do you have all you channels listed?

Sorry, forgot to mention that,
I have an account setup & working OK w/EPG from Schedules direct. It populates the channels.
But there is something, that I think is wierd, the channel check box's don't seem to stay populated & the column's are different depending on whether I am doing editing my analog or digital feed.

I can use the tuning checker to scan thru channels. Do I need to have all that data & manually add it, btw?

Currently I am administering the server via VNC, because the web interface seems to not be working.
I am running on Vista32 bit...
Drivers? I've downloaded vista 32 & 64bit, XP 32 & 64 bit... and I am not sure what my cards are using, because I do not see anything in my device manager, except my MOBO stuff & a multimedia ATI thing : AVI Unified AVStream Driver

I had an issue while posting my original & forgot I hadn't finished typing all I wanted. Hopefully tonight I can fill in if I forgot anything else..

It sounds like you havnt done the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step. When you do this it'll scan for channels, then you need to click the 'tuning request' column for each channel, and perform the mapping.

I did the scan for digital a few times & was not getting any sign's that it was seeing signal. then I thought, what if the card only received digital on 1 input & not the other. I hooked up both Coax inputs & tried again.
Still did not get anything.

I removed the 2nd capture source setting all together & tried a plain vanilla analog & was able to get live TV!

SO I re-added digital source, QAM & tried scann all to digital.. and still nothing seemed to happen.
it's not even showing the channels as checked.
I took a look into my channel listing & on the analog, I seem to have up to 7-800 listed ... I have to get some Z''s now.. Thank you for your time in looking at this & if you had anything to do with it, making GBPVR! I'll play with "actually recording" later.. I haven't gotten my big hard drives installed in this system yet. I'll have to do it after this weekend, going away.

Do the scan again to reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

Well.. I'm not sure if it's a problem, it just never seems to find anything.

But I will try to get that together in a few days.
As it stands, I woke up today to try to get clients working, running gbpvr on vista on a laptop, (and XP on another) so I could view shows & they both crash after I config streaming, or file share & go to launch pvrx2. It first shows a .Net error & then goes to a widescreen window titled pvrx2 w/ a white background & a large red X & border in it.. I have to kill the task or process to stop.
Heres a snippet of the error from that :

************** Exception Text **************
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

As mentioned above, so a scan, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll look into it. We'll worry about the client setup later, but will also need client pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log files to give you any info on that.

Regards my "client" pc's; I figured out what was wrong with those; I had forgotten to edit the security so that the everyone user could access the files. I can run client PC's now.

I attached all the config logs from the last time I ran the EPG to digital scan.

Let me know if it was the wrong data & I will try to re-run it. My machine is recording something right now, so I don't want to try anything.
