Here is my situation. I am trying to setup QAM using an HVR1800 and GBPVR version 1.3.11 within Win7 x64. When I go to map digital channels, I get the following message.

"GBPVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is properly configured and not already in use."

Ii then gives me an unhandled exception error which lists a whole bunch of stuff. Analog works just fine, so is Digital Channel Mapping not supported yet witin Win7 or is there something else not working?

Sorry, GB-PVR is incompatible with Windows 7 at this stage. I'll update GB-PVR for compatibility with Windows 7 being offically released.

Sub, just curious, but what is incompatible with Windows 7? I tried Windows 7 beta and PVRX2 seemed to work fine for me. The only problem I had was installing Community Skin, it needed some kind of permission to install some of the jpg files. And, without Comunity skin, I never get Music Library 2 working. (I need that so I can play MP3's in track order, I am old and I listen to albums)

There are tuning issues with many BDA digital tuners, due to some changes in the the way tuning is done. It'll work for lot of people, but fail for about as many. By saying its 'not supported' is trying to set the expectation that you could encounter problems, and I wont be doing anything about it at this stage.

Aaaa, that's why I had no problem then. I just use a set top box and svideo in, so no prob. Have you played with 7 at all? Are the file restrictions like Vista? And, does it handle services the same way? It sure felt like Vista with UAC turned off!!
