ive updated the "my" series so that when gbpvr is updated the settings are saved, but yo MUST run the config application select "my videos" goto settings, click ok, goto "my music" click settings, click ok, goto "my pictures" click settings, click ok. by entering settings for each plugin this ensures the config.xml file is updated for each plugin, and this is where the update occurs, also if you dont do this, the plugins wont work. my programs didnt need this update since its already designed this way.

There was a sample basic UI in the skeleton plug-in code I sent you along with some wrapper functions to deal with reading and writing the types to the proper section of the file, creating the new XML nodes if they are not there when updating properties, and handling errors and providing default values on reads if the ndoes are not found. Did these work for you?

Yeah but its not recognizing any new paths i try to implement into the code..subdir.additional dirs to add to this the list, maybe i left out something..I will keep trying, probably some silly error on my part i am sure..
