This may be a noob problem, however...

I am attempting to use the Schedules Direct service to get data for my OTA capture card. As far as I can tell I set everything up correctly. I've updated the EPG and mapped the channels. I even tried clearing the EPG and updating again. However, the TV Guide still shows "no show details" for everything. I used TVG (separate standalone program that uses Schedules Direct) to confirm listing data is correct for my selected lineup, it just isn't showing up in the TV Guide. What am I missing?

Hit the 'update epg' button in the config app, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and I'll take a look.

Are you on Vista?

I'm running Windows XP SP3. If it makes a difference, I'm using a Popcorn Hour A-110 as an extender, but I verified the guide data is empty even if I run the software on the host machine directly.

I had to zip the file to duck the .txt size limit.

It looks looks like its pulling in listings without any problems.

Can you try viewing your TV Guide in PVRX2 on your PC, then zip and attach your pvrx2.exe.log?

Thats why I said "zip and attach". I force people to use zip to keep the backups manageable.

I apologize, I think the problem is caused by me mis-interpreting the map channels window. The first column seems to list both those channels detected by scanning and those in the program data. I need to ignore the first few (the detected channels) and map the guide channels to detected channels (rather than mapping the detected channels to themselves).

(assuming you didnt try to use the 'dvb epg' option in the past) The channel list on the left (first column) of the screen shows the EPG channels. The 'tuning request' column is for mapping those channels to the channels that were found during the scan.

I considered that the use of DVB EPG might have caused a problem, so I cleared the EPG. Maybe I then did DVB EPG again, not really sure.

In any case, it now works! I have program listings for all channels, and I can set recordings. Thank you for your help.

You're not in a country that uses the DVB-EPG, so you shouldnt select this option.

I always recommend people delete and re-create their capture sources rather than just trying to change the epg source (since it leaves the remnants hanging around).

I am sorry to jump in, but I have almost the same problem and I didn't get how you fixed it. I am using an HD HomeRun on VISTA with TV PACK and I used all of the instructions here:

I chose the XMLTV plugin as EPG source. I mapped the digital channels and enabled a couple of them just for trying (I can see the channels I selected in the small test window). I created the xmltv.xls file by hand right now and it contains all of the info, but when I run PVRX2 and I click on TV GUIDE I don't get anything....
