I am trying to get GBPVR up and running on a Server 2008 machine. I am using 1.3.11 with all updates. Server 2008 has all updates applied. I have followed the instructions for installing the BDA files from a Vista install and have installed Desktop Experience. I have ffdshow installed as well as CoreAVC. DirectX is installed as well.
I find no channels when I do a scan with GBPVR. If I use the tuning address found on my XP rig I get the message: "No signal detected. Please ensure that the antenna cable is connected or that the antenna signal is strong enough." I can tune the channels directly from the HDHR software. The following are the filters that show up in GraphStudio:

BDA Network Providers
Microsoft ATSC Network Provider
Microsoft DVBC Network Provider
Microsoft DVBS Network Provider
Microsoft DVBT Network Provider
Microsoft Network Provider

BDA Receiver Components
Silicondust HDHomerun Tuner xxxxxxxx-0
Silicondust HDHomerun Tuner xxxxxxxx-1

BDA Source Filters
Silicondust HDHomerun Tuner xxxxxxxx-0
Silicondust HDHomerun Tuner xxxxxxxx-1

BDA Transport Information Renderers
BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter
MPEG-2 Sections and Tables

DirectShow Filters
BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter

I have GBPVR set up exactly like I do on my two XP rigs, that work. I have attached my logs as well. Can the HDHR work with GBPVR on Server 2008? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out the problem. I forgot to add GB-PVR to the Windows Firewall With Advanced Security. If anyone else needs to know:
Under Server Manager>Configuration>Windows Firewall With Advanced Security>Inbound Rules make sure that you create entries for PVRX2.exe, GBPVRRecordingService.exe, and Config.exe. Set each to Profile type PRIVATE.

Ironcross - Do you have gb-pvr completely working under Server 2008?

I tried installing the BDA files from Vista but kept running into problems. Did you use a particular web site for instructions?

Sorry for the dealay in responding. Yes, I have it completely working under 2008. I can record and playback. And i can stream to my clients. I couldn't find much online besides a thread about the bdaforserver program that collects the files from vista. I also installed DirectX9. Did you register the vista dlls?
