but all channels found with the TV software that came with this PCI card.

Who can tell me why I can't found any channel when I scan frequencies with tuner 1 or tuner 2 of this card ? I've checked the bda.ini, everything seems OK with parameters for this Pinnacle Dual DBV-T PCI card.

All I have when I scan is for all frequencies "Strenght 0 Quality 0".

And, something more weird, when I try to scan with GBPVR selecting this card, while the pinnacle TV software is also running and receiving TV from this tuner, the scan of GBPVR tells me "Strengh -43 Quality 100".

Anybody have a clue about my frustrating problem ?

Thanks for answer !

Try the scan again and post your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

Hi Sub !

Thanks for your answer. I've just done a new scan with tuner #1 of my pinnacle card with only gbpvr running. I've joined the requested files to this post.

If you want, I can do also a scan with the pinnacle software running and receiving TV while gbpvr make his scan.

Thanks for your help and advices ;-)

... something strange in my config files ?

For more information, I've just seen that Corel Video Studio detects my Pinnacle card and can scan all channels...

An other software (Presto PVR) doesn't find any channel using the pinnacle card !

I'm puzzled by this problem... If you have any idea...

Thanks !

Sorry, I'm not really sure. Everything look fine in the logs, but the device never manages to lock on to a signal, so never delivers any data to GB-PVR.

Thanks Sub for the time you spent on my problem.

If you don't see what's wrong, I think I will never find myself so maybe I'll buy an other card and resale this damned Pinnacle card on eBay.

Can you tell me what affordable DVB-T PCI card I can buy that will surely works with GB-PVR ?

Or, since I'm using also a Emtec S810 USB DVB-T, is it possible to use 2 USB DVB-T devices on the same PC ?

This may be helpful, or it may just give you a headache ...

Interesting link Graham !

I'm looking forward to tweak these strings tonight after work.

I'll keep the forum informed if I find something. May be I'm not the only one who have this problem...

Thanks !

I originally bought this card when I first set up GBPVR, never could get it to work (although it worked with the pinnacle software) and ended up buying a Hauppauge Nova T 500 instead.

Does anyone actually have one of these working? If not it probably shouldn't be listed as supported in the wiki as this is just going to lead to people wasting their money.

Maybe worth checking in task manager whether any Pinnacle processes are running, that might have "grabbed" the card and prevent GBPVR from tuning it. I had a similar problem with a no-name card which was resolved by completely uninstalling the supplied software and then only installing the card's BDA drivers (not its software).
