EPG problems (Yapi2xml)

I'm running WinXP, SP3 and PVRX2, v 1.3.11 and using Hauppauge HVR-1950.

A few days ago, my EPG download, using Yapi2xml failed after many attempts on several days. It appears to download data, but when I look at TV Guide, all channels and time blocks say "No show details". This makes it rather useless.

It has been working nicely up until now. I realize that there is no longer any support for Yapi2xml, but I wonder if any users have seen a similar problem and can advise. The only thing I have done which may have caused this is the install and uninstall of Ulead DVD Moviefactory, V 5.78. I am not sure whether this was simply a coincidence, or a cause/effect issue.

Yapi has been known to be unreliable and am sure if you search the forums you will see people mentioning at one time or another that it goes dowm. I believe at one point it stopped working for an extended period of time.

i dont have an answer on what to fix in your case but more of a suggestion to move to mc2xml which is faster and not too complicated to set up (obviously no gui but not too difficult in understanding its options)

I suggest this solution, too. YAPI has been very intermittent for many users for a very long time. It doesn't appear to be YAPI's fault (not that this helps anyone).

For the past 2 weeks YAPI got stuck in time and updates EPG for period May 6- May20.

I was using YAPI-UltraXMLTV Enhancer combination for over a year, tried mc2 (with mixed results). Finely I bit the bullet and switched to SchedulesDirect. Although I am missing all the extra info the above combination provided. I guess I'll visit UltraXMLTV thread to see what can be done about it.

yeah my yap only updates may 5 through may 19. for like two weeks now. it sucks. constantly failing me. I'm going to try mc2xml too.
