Hi all,

I've read a couple of threads about Windows 2008 server and I'm just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction?

To date I've got GBPVR installed, the Hauppage 64bit drivers and the BDA files from Vista 64bit (http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=114549 BDA driver install util for W2K8).

I've been able to use the Config.exe and it picks up my Nova-B card. The EPG is downloading successfully and a scan is picking up channels and associated information. However, video does not appear in the thumbnail window nor does it appear in LiveTV or Recorded TV.

From the above I'm assuming my capture card, drivers and BDA setup are all fine but my video is possibly missing codecs?

Post the logs and I'll see if anything stands out.

One that I had was that GBPVR is 32 bit so do I need 32 bit versions of Codec and BDA drivers?

If you're trying live tv in the app, then post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log

I have got this working on my setup which is Windows 2008 R2 64bit. I am pretty sure it was because I didn't have a 32bit Codec to play video.

For anyone else this is what I did to get all working:
- Installed Vista 64bit driver for capture card, Hauppage Nova-S Plus
- Installed Vista Desktop Experience from W2K8R2 features/roles
- Followed the instructions for BDASetupeServer (gets BDA drivers from Vista and registers them on Windows 2008, http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=114549
- Installed latest version GBPVR
- Installed K-Lite codecs for 64bit Windows
- Installed K-Lite codecs for 32 bit windows

HTH
