Is anyone else having problems with mc2xml program guide? Worked fine until updating Monday afternoon, now "no show details" for the OTA guide. I have not made any changes on my end. I'm thinking the problem is not with GB-PVR but with the service, emptying epg, then updating epg does not help. I use mc2xml also for my cable channels and that portion is working as it should. Zip here is 46123

That happened to me a few days ago. The EPG channel numbers changed and I had to remap the digital channels to the new EPG channels.

I was using a limiter for reducing the number of hours of data downloaded. I removed that and it now works fine.

Just FYI in case you didn't know, but mc2xml was updated and now even has GUI when setting it up.

This may be old news but I just found out a couple weeks ago. You might try downloading the new version if you don't have it...

Thanks for all the input guys...remapping did the trick. Maybe when mc2xml went to their gui they changed the name/number of the channels.
When examining the xml I found "31 WISHDTV" is now "66 WISHDTV". Mapped to the new number 66 and all is well. Of course I had to do the same with all the other channels.

It was your cable provider that changed its mapping

P.S. When I remapped the EPG to the digital ATSC channels, I noticed that mc2xml is now picking up all the ATSC sub-channels, which were missing before.

For example, I can get 25.1, 25.2, and 25.3 here OTA. That is the local PBS station (HD), plus two other PBS subchannels (both SD).

With previous mc2xml EPG updates, I only got the 25.1 channel in the EPG. Now, I am getting all the subchannels in the listing.

To make it happen, I had to delete all the previous ATSC channels, reload the EPG, and then re-scan for all the ATSC channels, in addition to re-mapping. But it's working great now.

Every few months, the mc2xml source (zap2it) changes the channel ID number and the new EPG channel name needs to be mapped again to the digital channel.
I missed a couple of recordings because of this and had to keep checking for changes. Since I only use the channel name in my mc2xml.chl file and I don't need the channel ID number, I wanted GBPVR to only use the channel name and not the number.

mc2xml has the -F option to output channel "name" first (rather than "number name"). I deleted the old mc2xml.dat file and created a new one. Afer setting the counry code and zip code, the GUI has the -F option to select. Now my xmltv.xml file has only the channel name that GBPVR reads for the EPG channel name.

Now I can map the digital channels in the capture sources to the EPG channel name and don't have to worry about the channel ID number changing. Removed the old mappings after mapping all the new ones so I didn't have to rescan channels.

Since I was removing unwanted numbers from the TV Guide, the channels tab in the config app can be used to change the channel order that they appear in the tv guide. It can be changed to the actual channel number or what ever sequence number you want.

I then put the channel logo .jpg files in the devnz\gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos\ folder to display the logo instead of the number. The file name must exactly match the name as it is displayed on the channels tab of the config app. I got my station logos from the http://www.lyngsat-logo.com web site.

Now the TV Guide shows just the station logos and name. And I don't have to worry about remapping digital channels.

Thanks for the suggestion to use the -F option. It'll probably save me from losing some major WAF points the next time that zap2it changes their channel numbers.
