Hello,

I downloaded gbpvr 1.4.7 and installed it to my 64 bit Windows 7 OS. When I run GBPVR and click on TV Guide nothing happens. Most of the other buttons the same thing. Does this software not work on windows 7?

Thanks!

These days I'm developing GB-PVR on a 64 bit version of Windows 7, so yes it works with it.

If you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs, I'll see whats going wrong.

Yes, it works well for me on 2 different x64 boxes. Did you properly set up GBPVR to work with your guide?

I am in the process of moving to a Windows 7 x64 PC. The biggest issue seems to be drivers for the capture cards.

I did my initial testing with a Hauppauge 1600 card and didn't have a problem so I assumed I wouldn't have any issues with Hauppauge 150 or 350 cards I have running on an XP PC. The 1600 is a newer card and Hauppauge does have 64 bit drivers for it.

When I tried to move my other capture cards to the new PC I ran into driver problems. The 350 card has to be retired because it doesn't have 64 bit drivers. The 150 that is pretty much in the same state. Hauppauge has 64 bit drivers but they say you can't run with 4GB or more. The only reason I went to 64 bit Windows was because I have a quad core processor and I wanted to put more RAM on it than 32 bit Windows can handle. I have 4GB and will eventually add another 4GB or more if compatible RAM becomes available for my motherboard at the higher density.

I am in the processing of adding a Hauppauge 2250 card to replace the two cards I had to retire.

The 2250 is a far superior card, anyway. W7 will just load the dvr for it no problem.

I have found Windows 7 to be one or two drivers behind the current drivers on Hauppauge's site. But, they worked just fine for me.
I've been very pleased with my 2250.

Between now and Dec 1, NewEgg is selling the Hauppauge 2250 for $99.99. This is $30 off the regular price and is due to both instant and mail-in rebates.

Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of placing my order 4 hours too early to qualify for the $20 mail-in rebate.
