I have comskip happily marking commercials and they are skipped during playback. How do I use the resulting text file to create another mpg file that only contains the show without the commercials?

Look at VideoRedo for a commercial solution.
I am still looking for a freeware solution.

I've seen a couple of open source Linux based ones.. I'm a fan of both, but I'd rather not move large files from my windoze box to my Linux box to edit, so.... VideoReDo is my NLMPEG editor of choice.

Comskip is open source and is written in C#, I believe.

It should be possible for someone to edit comskip to do exactly what you want.

But comskip only reads the mpg and outputs a text file containing where the commercials are, sometimes not exactly right. I has no editing functions in it.

an open source program like Videoredo woudl be ideal!

FOr those of you with VideoRedo, does it work as advertised? Can you take an MPEG recorded with GBPVR for which compskip was run and create a commercial free version of just the program you want to watch?
