LiveTV pasue by itself?

LiveTV works fine.

There are recordings in the TV buffer and all is well.

However, I let the LiveTV run by itself, say overnight, strange things happen.

I woke up and find that the screen is paused and they are many chunks of recordings. But the LiveTV is still recording.

Then I move my mouse over the GBPVR window, the LiveTV will run again, but at fast forward speed. Then i press ctrl-o, it will play the latest LiveTV show normally.

Why is this happening? How can i solve this prob?

I moved my LiveTV buffer to an external hard disk.

The log shows nothing wrong. Same as the log when the LiveTV is functioning properly. (without pause)

My PC specs:

P4 2.4 GHz
Gigabyte MB GA -8IG1000MK
512 MB DDR RAM
160 + 160 SATA HD on RAID 0
PVR 150

I am using the onboard graphics card. Intel Extreme.

The RAID drives act as 1 drive.

P4 is the Intel chipset.

Basically, the LiveTV works ok.. but just that it will pause on its own. To make it make to normal i got to move my mouse over the GBPVR window.

Could be a conflict w/ another remote. My Philips remote was on same freq as wintv remote, and tv power button was the same as the radio button. It could be your tv remote, stereo, or even one nearby.

To test, unplug or seriously cover up the remote sensor (if infared...you'll need to do more for RF). If things fine in the morning, that may be it.

haooo81 - In a previous post you said that you moved your live TV buffer to an external drive. You will want your recordings (which includes live TV buffer) going to the fastest drive possible. For you, that's your RAID 0 array. If this box is used only as a PVR/HTPC, then I would recommend using a single HD for the OS & installed programs, then use the RAID array just for recordings. You could always used the external drive to archive recordings.

One other thing to look out for. Make sure your AV software isn't doing real time protection on your recordings/buffer directories. That'll kill performance.
