In anticipating a move to NPVR I would like to know how I would blast two different satellite receivers individually. I researched a bit about blasting one device in NPVR but nothing about two.

Does the haupblast.exe have an option to point to which card I would blast from if I have both a PVR-150 and an HVR-1600? Or identify which port of the MCE blaster to blast from?

I see the HVR-2250 has two tuners and two blasters. Do the people with that card have the option to blast two different receivers or STBs (set top boxes) to tune to two different channels simultaneously?

FYI, I never got IRserver to work in GPPVR but I could give it another try now that I have read I would have to use version 1.4.2.3158. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...50-blaster but I would still like to see the alternatives.

I don't see anything about LM Remote Keymap identifying individual ports of the MCE blaster http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4/22/60/...rticle.asp

There is no limitation in NPVR around this, but you will likely have to grapple with multi-blaster limitations in other components in your machine. The extent of NPVR's blasting is just allowing you to specify a blaster executable and command line. Assuming your executable supports multiple blasters, then NPVR will be able to use them.

If you're using HaupBlast.exe, be aware that it just calls the Hauppauge blasting DLL, and this DLL (like the Hauppauge BlastCFG utility) only supports a single blaster. The whole infrastructure of Hauppauge retail IR blasters (vs the MCE blasters) only really supports a single blaster, so I'm not sure you'd find any software that could use the blaster on both a PVR150 and HVR1600. You'd probably only be able to use one or the other. Hauppauge have an on-going project to change the IR infrastructure to support multiple blasters/receivers, but I suspect it'll be quite a while before it's available.

If you're using MCE style USB blasters, then you should be able to use IR Server or HIP etc to control both blasters.

Thanks sub. You confirmed my suspicion about haupblast only being able to do one at a time. I was hoping there was something I missed and I didn't need a 3rd party application. I just tried changing hip to control NPVR and it worked fine. It is able to control the MCE blaster ports individually. If I ever go to Win7 64bit I won't be able to use it though.

HIP v4.x works very fine under W7-x64, I'm running it.

My mistake, it isn't a problem with HIP. The problem is there isn't a 64 bit driver for the MCE blaster, unless there has been a fix - http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?showtopic=12003 So that would still leave me the problem of not being able to blast different channels to individual STBs simultaneously since haupblast can't do it either.

Well, in that case you can replace the mce blaster with an USBUIRT, it works excellent with HIP.
