How To Switch Between Capture Sources?

Two Questions:
1) If I make a second capture source directly from my satellite receiver with a composite cable and set it up as using an external tuner do I delect "fixed channel externa tuner" or just "composit external tuner?"
2) How do I swtich from using one capture source to the other? My signal from the orignal source was lost when I wanted to go back to it, until I deleted the new capture source I had created.
I think I am missing something simple....like how many times to open and close the config program when making changes or selecting one source over another.

1) This sounds simular to what I am doing. I have 2 capture sources setup. The first one is internal tuner no channel changer all normal, with only channels 1-99 selected.
The second is composite/external tuner with girder plugin as channel changer. I selected channels 100 and up on that one.
You would pick fixed channel if you were connecting the cable box to your card via cable tv coax, but you almost definately want to use composite.

2) you don't have to switch between them since you only setup certain channels to go to each one.


This has been working fine for me for a couple months now. There is only one downside to this though, since GBPVR thinks you have 2 seperate capture sources, it will allow a recording to occur on both at the same time. No conflicts will be reported, so I have to check my pendings regularly.

I can't remember the post referece but sub has said that this is fixed in the next release.

Maybe the whole issue of using more than one capture card could be better documented. From reading the forum, there's a lot of people having problems setting up their Tv cards and it seems to be a hit and miss affair.
