It's not accepting your m3u file because it doesn't have http urls. Instead it has rtsp urls.

Great!

The other downside to going with the m3u approach rather than SAT>IP, is that you wont get any TV listings unless your fritz box also provides an xmltv url.

I'm not sure what this means but I tried to find a converter, nothing discovered.

NextPVR's IPTV support is just designed for rtsp urls. It's instead intended for use with the types of http urls that IPTV providers use. (so using the m3u for your fritzbox is a non-starter)

You mean the EPG is missing? Then Martin was wrong because exactly this is what I'm looking for: TV recording with support of an EPG (as mentioned before).

If you'd used m3u, and wanted EPG, then you'd also need to supply an xmltv file or url. I'm not sure if your fritzbox provided this or not. If you'd used just a m3u (no xml), then you'd get channels but no EPG.

If you'd used the built in SAT>IP (instead of m3u), then it'd get listings directly from the broadcast.

To be 100% clear: You mean "... NextPVR's IPTV support is --not-- just designed for rtsp urls."

You should still be available to get epg data from xmltv and schedules direct.

"NextPVR's IPTV support is just not designed to work with rtsp urls". It will not be able to work with these rtsp URLs in your m3u file.
