Any idea what causes the server to go into a non-stop script execute?  Think it does it when I rescan devices.  Maybe this is why rescan doesn't appear to do anything. Have to stop and restart the server to abate it.

That's not a hang, and is fairly harmless.

You can get messages like that if you have the web page open doing a scan, and restart the server, and the page is still in the background asking 'hows that scan going'?

Do you remember what type of scan type was? Most device types now stop after getting this error, but I suspect I still need to change the logic on some another scan type or two.

As I mentioned in the prior post, I think it happens when I rescan, presumably all sources, both iptv and HdHomerun Duo box. Did it before I installed the HDHR tho. I hope I'm understanding your question.  If you would like me to attempt to replicate it, I can.

It's not all sources types, because I've fixed it on some...but I cant remember which Big Grin

If you can reproduce it, let me know and I'll take a close look at that specific type of source.

Just tried a renew and that alone didn't do it. It may have been because I had a browser session open when I stopped the server, on another device. When I encounter it again I'll take copious notes and reply here.

Rescan isn't perfect. I often have to ctrl-f5 wait etc, but I find it just as easy to restart the server.

The worst case is if you're an HDHomeRun owner, and have at least 1 device unplugged, since there is some significant delays added because of this, otherwise If you've just got regular DVB/ATSC tuners, or IPTV etc, then it's pretty much instant and reliable.

Ya, that's what I've always done, a restart, without any appearance of screwing things up. Just didn't want to be making scrambled eggs of the db or something.  Helpful to know it's likely something trying to communicate and isn't getting a response. Thanks.
