Can NextPVR automatically update satellite channels?

I've been using NextPVR 4 for sometime. All works well until satellite channels change. Then recordings don't work and the EPG doesn't get updated correctly.

I have an old Humax PVR and when channels change it tells me and asks me to do an update. All recordings continue to work etc.

Is there an equivalent for NextPVR?

Also, is there a service that I can signup to that tells me when satellite channels change? I'm in the UK and the first I know that something has changed is when recordings fail.

No, there isn’t an equivalent. You’d need to do a scan so that it’ll update the existing channels.

If you look at “Community Announcements” there is a recent item called “LineUp for NextPvr” which may be a help. It uses Channel Bouquets as used by Sky and Freesat to select the appropriate channels for your area. I have not looked at it but it may help your problem.

I tried to record a series of programmes last night and I got errors on all of them saying something about no data. Looking at the channel it appears it has moved location.

What is the best  way of doing a scan without messing up the recordings that are already scheduled?
