Using nextpvr.exe 5.2.4 (220103), in fullscreen, if I hit F1 for the EPG, it uses a massive font and hardly appears on screen [Image: bad_epg.png]This is a full screen screenshot.
I presume for the channel info, if it is using the same font/image sizing, it may actually be appearing but way off the bottom of the screen.

Are you sure it is 5.2.1 and not 5.2.4? Does the normal OSD look ok and the now/new popup (up/down arrows)? What do you have for screen size and resolution, and do you need to run the -nogl command line?

Sorry, 5.2.4. I'll update the original post.

By the normal OSD, do you mean when you move the mouse over the screen. If so, it is fine windowed but not full screen (1920*1080). That is what I meant when I said "I presume for the channel info, if it is using the same font/image sizing, it may actually be appearing but way off the bottom of the screen."

I know nothing about the -nogl switch and have never used it. Do I have to use it in my startup shortcut?

If I read you correctly full screen all OSD is bad, so it is not a guide problem, that helps to know. What about the scaling?

Instead of running NextPVR you run NextPVR.exe -nogl You can add this on the shortcut created for NextPVR On the start menu right click the NextPVR client icon, go to "Open file location" and right click the NextPVR shortcut. Change target to

Code:
"C:\Program Files\NPVR\client\NextPVR.exe" -nogl

I don't think it is an EPG problem as it works fine when windowed.

Starting with -nogl made no difference.

I hadn't notice this before now. It was a bug in the last release. It happens when the OSD TV Guide has been visible (but is no longer), then the window is resized, then the OSD TV Guide made visible again. I'll fix it for the new release which is in the next couple of days.

I see now yes, if you resize to full screen while playing video all OSD not just the guide is the big size. If you start full screen and resize you get a small OSD.

The small F1 guide is kind of cool.

Hmm. It is sort of fixed but the text looks dreadful full screen - blocky and blurry. It is fine windowed.

The -nogl switch makes no difference.

Compare the text in the two pictured. In the first picture the characters are very clear, but obviously too big. In the second, they are not. It is like a small bitmap has just been scaled up rather than a large font being used directly. Is it aliasing or something like that?

Does it make a difference if you switch to full screen before starting the video? There good be more than one issue here.
