hello
i am having issues with one of my systems where i am getting choppy video and lip-sync of the audio.  it is happening on my testing within 6:30 to 7:00 pm on all channels.
I have tried with the vpn and without.  my cpu usage hovers between 15 to 40 percent.
Any info as to why this is happening is much appreciated.  logs enclosed.
thank you
bruce

I can't see anything obvious in your logs. Can you supply a short sample recording where you see the issue happening?

I'll download it and take a look. Were there any special instructions, like you need to try skipping to see it, or just start it playing?

Those two files play in sync here. Is just playing these same files there in NextPVR enough to see the problem?

There is no sign of any corruption in the files. You do hear quite a bit of audio before seeing a video frame, which is down to the way they've encoded this channel before transmission.

Is it just specific channels?

Are you trying to play these with the NextPVR.exe client running on the NextPVR server? You mention "with the vpn and without", so I'm not sure where the VPN would come into play.

I see a NPVR.log for that 6:30-7:00pm timeframe. It does have some stack dump errors saying unable to connect to the remote server (but the IP address is the loopback address and it seems to go on OK):
Code:
2022-05-21 18:29:47.240    [ERROR][1]    System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8866

Is v5 the only version you have installed on this system?

As mentioned above, I'd like to know if you see the problem with those two specific files, and if you just have to play them to see the problem happen (ie no skipping). Here they are playing well.

Also, I'd like to know if it's only select channel you're seeing the issue with. I can see some unusual things about the audio/video encoding in that stream. It's fairly common for slight differences in the encoding between channels, and it may only be the attributes of certain channels that show the problem.
