a picture is worth a thousand words. How can i get rid of this crap? Just in case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, please notice the red and green anomalies in the top right and lower left corner of the screencap. I get these (they are static - always there) whenever i playback widescreen DVDs or ISOs

also someone please help this guy out (and me in the process Big Grin ). Neither of us are able to get sound when playing back ISOs

I get the screen anomalies as well, and I'm still wrestling with sound.. but not viewing DVDs... although the sound I do get is much lower than I'd like it to be.. even if I crank of the system settings.

Anyway, sorry I can't help solve the problem, but you're definitely not alone here.

the patterns on your screen appears on the black part of the screen, which kind of suggests its your tv or hardware? but not the software. If I am seeing the screen capture correctly, the picture and grey part are the transmission content. The black part is tv controlled, if that makes sense.

Does it appear on another TV ?

I don't think it's the TV because if he took the screenshot with ALT-PRINTSCREEN then those colour anomalies wouldn't be visible in the screenshot. It's probably a software bug (codec, driver, GBPVR, who knows?). In any case, something is rendering the image wrong.

Big Grin hehehe so true so true LOL. Clever trick taking a screen shot of a tv Smile, I guess I assumed it was a camera shot of the TV, but its too neat to be so.

Yes, I used print screen to capture this shot, and it isn't the tv, because it shows up on the monitor as well. Also, I don't have this problem with other methods of DVD playback.

Its not something GB-PVR is adding. GB-PVR also doesnt do the playback itself, instead it uses third party DVD software components already installed on your machine. Try a different version of whatever you're using.
