Watching current recording problem

I've had a problem a few times in the past where I'd be recording something with GBPVR and decide about 20 minutes into the program that I actually want to go ahead and watch it from the beginning. I've got 2 PVR-150MCE cards on my PC so I didn't think this would be a problem - and most of the time it isn't, but sometimes the recording will cutoff. Generally it cuts off at the time at which I started watching it (while it was still recording). As an example I started watching a 30 minute show from the beginning when it was 20 minutes into the show. The recording stops at the 20 minute mark. Last night I got a similar, but different problem. I was doing a manual recording to get the last 2 episodes of Enterprise in one recording. We watched the recording up until about the last 30 minutes (while it was recording) and then turned off the MVP. When we went back to watch the ending this evening we found out that the recording stops around that point as well. I'm using an older machine with a P3 with 288MB of RAM on Windows XP. When I monitor the PC usage with Remote Desktop I notice that the processor is only taking about 2% hit even when I'm recording on both cards so I don't think the PC resources are an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
