Hi,

About a week ago I started having problems with my EPG. I am in the US and using zap2it for information. I started loosing recordings a little while ago and traced the problem back to the EPG. Looks like either I am not getting all chanel info from zap2it or it is not being converted properly. I have tried clearing epg nad reloading info. Also tried deleting capture sources. Went so far as removing gbpvr, deleting old install directory and reinstalling.

WHen I create new capture source, all chanels are present. When I download epg data and go to the tv guide many chanels are missing. Missing chanels are listed both in my zap2it account and newly created capture source.

Any help would be appreciated. using 92.08? Newest version. Saw same problem on previous version.

If channels are missing, then they're not being supplied by zap2it.

Thank You...You are correct. Downladed xmltv and ran some tests. Info is missing from zap2it data. Have contacted them about issue.

Sub,

I think the problem here is GBPVR. I contacted zap2it labs, and it looks like they updated their format again. Please see below:

Hi Mark,

I've checked out your lineup. You have 205 stations selected, and I did a
download of your lineup and verified that there are 205 <map> elements and
proper schedules.

See http://docs.tms.tribune.com/tech/tmp/mark_aurora.xml

About a week ago, we fixed our lineup maintenance add/delete script and some
users' lineups were updated as a result. In your case, I think the problem
is that you have stations now selected on your lineup that are mapped to 2
places; for COMEDY, that's channel 59 and 530. However, 530 is listed first
in the XML, and it's my guess that your application, GBPVR, doesn't like the
fact that 1 schedule record is mapped to multiple stations. It puts the
schedule records on 530 and 59. Can you verify that?

Is there broader discussion of this issue on the GBPVR boards?

Tom

Subject: Data Problem

Hi,

My user account is XXXXXXX, which I have been using with GBPVR for quite some
time. I have never experienced a problem before, but about a week ago (I think)
I started having issues. I am not getting any programming info from your site
for many of the channels. I assumed this was a problem with the software I am
using, but after contacting the GBPVR support they believed it to be a problem
with the zap2it. To confirm I downloaded xmltv to grab data and convert into
a format I could use. Sure enough I found that the channels that are missing
in my PVR software are not present in the xmltv data, though the channels are
present in the list of channels that both xmltv and gbpvr get from you. I do
not have a complete list of channels, 59 COMEDY, has been my test case
though.

Any help you could provide would be very much appreciated.

Mark

Email your zap2it login credentials to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look. It cant be too common or we would have heard much more about it by now.

I'll change GB-PVR so that only the first instance of a channel is used.

I guess from my point of view, I would like both to show up. Maybe, I just dont understand what ou are saying the solution is. I have digital cable, so 5XX is the digital version of the station, which shows up first. What I record off of is 59, which is analog and does not require the converter box. Most of wht I record is off the analog stations. This way I can watch whatever I want off the single converter box and not worry about losing a recording. Seeing both to me is an advantage.

Anyway, not trying to be picky or demanding. Love the software, appreciate what you are doing very much.

Mark.

Sorry, its not designed to have the same channel show up more that once in a capture source. I wont be changing this - its too much of a pain in the arse.

Just log into the http://labs.zap2it.com web site, and remove the one from the channel line up that you'd prefer to lose.

I had a similar situation and may have a solution you can use. I have both Comcast cable and Dish satellite. Some of the same channels appear on both e.g SciFi is 67 on the cable and 121 on the satellite. So i created TWO Zap2It logins, one of them for the cable lineup and the other for the satellite lineup.

In the GBPVR config I setup my two PVR150MCEs each with the tuner portion pointing at the cable lineup (with the properly Zap2It login) and the Composite Input pointed to the satellite lineup. When the linups are pulled down SciFi shows up twice, once on 67 and again on 121. I created duplicate logos, one named "67 SCIFI.JPG" and the other "121 SCIFI.jpg"

This seems to work fine.
ASUS A7V880, Athlon XP 3000+, 1024MB, 250GB (Prog/DB), 40GB (Buffer/Temp), 670GB SATA (Video Library), PVR150MCE Video (2), NEC DVD+/- RW, Liteon DVD, nVidia FX5600 AGP, Onboard AC 97 Audio, Hauppauge Remote, Girder, USBUIRT,802.11G WLAN, nVidia Platinum Decoders
