Any way to play .asf files in GBPVR?

I have been re-encoding some recorded streams to mpeg. Anyway to get around that?

Thx

you can play them fine using software decoder, and possible thru the mvp and transcoding (isnt asf just an old extension for wmv?), but you shouldnt have any problems playing them back on a pc.

Reven. I think you are correct about the asf and wmv's.
What do you mean when you say software decoder? A standalone decoder running outside of GBPVR? or a plugin to enable GBPVR to play .asf's (for example from my videos folders?

Thanks.

software = using a pc hooked up to a tv or watching on a monitor
hardware = xcard, 350 or mvp.

the only way i know of doing it, is to download/install my videos, and add "asf" to the known file extensions in the config (in the my videos part).

Anyone but me had trouble playing WMV files?
I tried to play some file, which got GBPVR stuck until I used the 3-finger salute...

The file plays just fine in Window Media Player 9, by the way...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
