Mplayer Encoding problem? corrupt files.

Hi all

I have a strange strange problem with using mplayer encoder for post processing:

The command line below works perfectly if a programme is say under approx 1hr 15 mins, but if its much more than that the file encodes sucessfully, or appears to. The resulting file is corrupt, and cant be played in media player, media player classic etc.

mencoder.exe f:\gbconvert\source.mpg -oac mp3lame -lameopts mode=2:cbr:br=128 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vhq:vbitrate=2000 -ffourcc DIVX -o d:\data\file.mpg


Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

p.s. disk space is not an issue, have checked that!

I am having exactly same problem!
Since there is no answer here I am wondering have you been successful in finding answer somewhere else?

FYI - I've been able to play such files ONLY using divx player V 2.6

Newer version shows error too :confused:

Thanks for the tip on playing the files!
Sad to say i have had no luck finding a solution

I have goe back to using auto gordian knot to convert my files manually.

I'll keep you posted if i find anything so subscribe to this thread!
