I just got gbpvr working, and am wondering what i need to change the channel on a sat. dish. it has no low speed data port, so i know i need some type of ir blaster, but the all seem expensive. is there a better,reliable, cheaper option? and what exactly do i need?

Your not using a WinTV PVR 150 (retail) are you? It comes with an IR blaster. I think Win MCE also comes with a ir blaster. You can pick up a Win Mce remote/blaster online for cheap, and with Girder you could get it working. Even if you dont have MCE.

no, i have a 150, but it was a slim version, so i didn't get anything with it. what about a ir reciever, do i need that also?
