I am looking at an ASUS TV tuner card, the specs are below. I am not 100% sure about compatibility although the list says "many more". Can anyone confirm that this card will work?

If I am interpreting the specifications correctly, this card uses a Philips SAA713x chipset which if I recall correctly is not on the list of supported chipsets. The "many more" indication on the compatibility list (I believe) refers to cards that are based on specific chipsets (like the Conextant MPEG2 chip) and/or cards that have BDA drivers (of which there are plenty.) BDA drivers are card specific drivers that support a universal architecture so programmers can write code that will work across a wide variety of devices. This eliminates the need to write code specific to each individual device. (At least, that's my understanding...)

So probably finding an Hauppage card is the best way to go then?
