I upgraded to gbpvr 94.12 and the current release of xrecord and Video Archive plugin.
Using the Blue skin.
now if I look in Xrecord "Ready" Recordings, the recordings are all there but on most of them the "Recorded information" is not there. This information being the summary, start time end time and runtime.

If I go to "Videos" from the Blue skin all of that info is there (on recordings that is does not show in Xrecord).

I think this is just a setting somewhere I have not found, any ideas?
thanks

when you upgraded it renamed your gbpvr.mdb file to something else. Look in your gbpvr directory you can rename it back. XRecord will show anything that it can play info or not.

Video Archiver archives it off to a second Database. Xrecord uses the gbpvr database and if not there the exported files. My guess is if you go into recordings they will not even be shown.

The recordings are there and they play just info is not there.

I now remember that this is most likely due to a disk error that occured while I was running defrag on the recordings drive. When I rebooted the drive did not show up until I ran a chkdisk on theh next reboot. Gbpvr did sort of a brief reinstall of something when it found the drive was not there.

I did find a gbpvr.mdb.original and renamed it but I think the actual mdb file must have been deleted when I got the disk error. The recordings are all there just not the information still.

Is it possible to export the information from the VA database do you think? I have MS Access on my pc If I knew the name I could see if that works
or
I will run my file restoration utility and see if I can find the mdb that got deleted.

I saved the pre-upgrade mdb but I understand that it is not a good idea to just copy it to the new release right?

I got all info back in Xrecord. This was a result of the disk error I got after the upgrade while running dfrg.

I copied the db I saved pre-upgrade into the current gbpvr directory and ran config and did an export then got rid of that db and renamed the new 94.12 db file back and imported all files. everthing is fine now.
