I've just finished setting up a fresh install of Windows and all my HTPC software, I have one new problem that didn't occur before. I'm not sure if it's my configuration or the new version of NPVR (I was using 3.3.8, now 3.4.8). Roughly 50% of my recordings do not make it to PostProcessing.bat. NRecord.log *does* show "Starting: C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\PostProcessing.bat" for all of the episodes it did not run for. It appears that NRecord.log is just saying it's *going* to run it or *tried* to run it, but there's no indication of whether or not it actually ran or what the exit code was so it doesn't seem to be monitored in any way. Ideally, it'd be nice if NPVR itself logged the output of the bat files or at the very least an exit code so there would be no question of whether the issue was with the batch file contents or NPVR failing to launch it. To "debug" this, I changed my PostProcessing.bat file to a single line that simply runs the "real" batch and saves the output to a log file. Both batch files do work. But it's consistently every other recording that finishes does not get processed, I'm keeping an eye on the logs to see if it really is exactly every-other completed recording that fails to run PostProcess.
I use EPG collector and get program data from the generated XML file.
This has just stopped working. The file is being created and loads into NPVR but no program data in NPVR
Last time this happened was because freeview new Zealand changed the program listing frequency.
I am guessing this has happened again.
Anybody know the new settings for this?

Its the same as in the tutorial except one issue Windows firewall I had to create a custom inbound and outbound rule for it to work. I used the default ports 8790 and 8791. First I tried using the specific program nDroidService.exe and opened ports 8790, 8791 tcp and udp for a firewall rules they didn't work. So I edited those rules and removed the specific program nDroidService.exe and selected all programs that meet specifications instead and viola working. So when done you'll have 1 rule for inbound and 1 rule for outbound that allows anyprogram that uses port 8790 and 8791.
I'm using an NPVR client to view live TV. I noticed that the nrecord logfile on the server fills up and rolls over about every 5-6 minutes. Is that normal? The makes the nrecord log of little use unless a problem is recognized before a live TV session is started.
Does anyone have any experience of Tizen equipped Samsung smart TV's? Is it likely that this app can be used or ported? I have the developer platform installed and don't mind helping out with it if the consensus is that I wont just be wasting time. There appear to be some conversion guides to follow.
Just a friendly Public Service Announcement. A bug in Comskip v81_076 is leaving behind a .dif file in the folder of a recording after comskip runs. I noticed the files and found it mentioned here: http://www.kaashoek.com/comskip/viewtopi...f=5&t=1660 It's not a big problem, but it does mean that NextPVR can't delete the folder when a show is deleted, as the .dif file is left behind. You can easily fix it by adding the dif extension to the DeleteAdditionalExtensions parameter in config.xml. Here's mine after I made the change:
Is there a way to have red button or record button on cec connected tv remote on rpi actually work as a record button the same as nexpvr does on a PC
As in if i press the red or record button while in tvguide it does a quick record
I have tried every sequence on plugged in keyboard to find the record but they just seem to make a pop up happen (saying i dont have pvr enabled or similar)
I got a simple question, I've recently found this program and it suits my needs to use my Happauge HD PVR Rocket, now i figured out how to make it run properly every time i want to record or stream but my problem is that when minimizing the NEXTPVR window the framerate drops from 60 to 30, and i really want the recording to be 60FPS constantly and to be able to minimize the window when necessary, is there anybody that can help me? i cant find any option to let it continue to run fully rendering the video even tho its minimized.
please help, and thank you for your time and patience
Kees Rodriguez.
