I tried to get Comskip to run with Nextpvr but couldn't. So I now run it by dropping my video file onto a shortcut of comskip.exe.
I also am unable to get comclean to run with Nextpvr so am running it the same way as Comskip.
Problem I have is that Comclean will generate a .m2v (video) file and a .mp2 (audio) file of my .mpg file. However it then deletes these files and leaves no evidence that it ever ran.
I am running Comclean 2 and have Cuttermaran 1.7 installed on both a Windows 7 and a Windows 8.1 machine. Results are as described above for both machines.
Acquired a WD My CLoud over the weekend that I would like to use to store live tv recordings on and broadcast to two wd tv "extenders" via the media server. I thought I had this all figured out until i tried to record a live tv show and nothing records on the cloud. Here are my specs:
HDHR Homerun dual (non-h.264) is cat5e wired to gigabit router. Windows 8.1 PC (NPVR software) is cat 6 to router. My Cloud is cat 6 wired to router. I can recognize the mycloud and have setup mapped network shares under my PC in windows 8.1 folder heiarchy. The drive is mounted and has a letter assigned to the folder I want to record to. The NPVR settings have the letter assigned as the defualt recording folder. When I press record or set a recording, NPVR acts normal and does not give any warnings. When I go to the cloud to see if it recroded it has nothing in the folder
A couple of thoughts:
-Firewall security isn't allowing writing ability
-incorrect settings in either the mycloud or NPVR system
-unable to complete this due to security issues with piracy laws
Any ideas would be helpful as this is my first (sort of NAS setup)
Is there a way to integrate channels from FilmOn to NextPVR?
Would be easier to handle Kodi PVR addon if all the channels would come from same backend.
I noticed tha NEXTPVR does not check for the home paths of the recordings before deleting them from the DB. i had to reimport a full drive of recordings because it disconnected.
For example my archive path is.
U:\ArchiveU if that drive goes offline NEXTPVR will remove from the DB all recordings. I think the way it should work if NEXTPVR does not see the home path or drive at all it should not remove the recordings from the DB. Now if the home path exists and the recording does not then it should remove them from the DB. I know I can avoid that by setting <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>true</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> to false but that defeats the purpose of using KODI to view and delete files no longer needed as they will still be in the DB.
The other day I had over 70 recordings of one perticular show, now I have just over 40. When I look in the directory there are almost 100 .ts files.
If I try to import recordings, after I select the .xml file it shows and error stating I do not have xmltv.dtd file (cannot locate it in windows explorer either)
I installed 3.3.8 on Windows 7 and scanned 70+ channels. When I start it, the live file is written to C:\Temp (e.g. live-KPNX-HD-3053).
Unfortunately the Live TV option from the main menu simply shows a blank screen with the channel across the title bar (e.g. KPNX-HD).
Every time I try to install the NPVR I got the error below :
NRecord has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correcly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available
