Hey I've got FreeNAS going with all my content and have the Emby plugin which works fine.
Emby supports live TV, but I was told my Ceton 6 Eth device would only be supported by NextPVR.
Problem I have is the plugin for NextPVR asks only for these fields:
NextPVR base URL as http://{hostname}:{port}
-and-
NextPVR pin which is set to 0000
Problem is I have no idea what to put into the base URL:port as I've tried my Ceton's IP address to no luck and tried a tuner's RPC IP address:port with no luck too.
All I want to do is capture a recorded segment from a DVR on my Windows 7 laptop. I am using an Angel USB TV Tuner. I used to do this with Sonic DVD, but that laptop died.
I installed NextPVR and SoftPVR and modified the xml file. NPVR can see the Angel device:

Now what? How do I set up the device?
I tried to scan for channels, but it did not show any after a few minutes of scanning 158 channels.
My goal is to display what is playing on my TV from the DVR on my PC. Then I can capture the video.
Please forgive me if this question is too vague. Thank you,
I went to watch the Austrian GP yesterday and found I only had 4mins of it! Obviously some what peeved, I checked the event logs and noticed the PC went into sleep from panel or lid action button action.
I did a quick test, recorded a prog and then pressed the power button on the PC, the PC goes into sleep and shuts off the recording!
Never had this with MCE, I use a Harmony remote which will put the PC into sleep if I switch tasks. Any ideas?
My NextPVR system is very reliable thanks to your care and attention.
One of the few remaining problems I have is that my Nova-T-500 occasionally fails to lock and creates a zero byte recording. I experience this on Live TV, and changing away from the channel and back again fixes it.
Would it be possible to check the file after say 30 seconds, and if the file is zero bytes it is treated as an error and another attempt is made at the recording?
I'm in the process of setting up a new computer to run NPVR (3.4.8). The computer is a NUC i3 (5th gen) and records from an HDHR4 (wired).
I'm having problems with playback of recorded shows. The system appears to record the entire show, but NPVR will stop partway through playback and the dialog pops up saying the recording has been watched to completion. The recordings playback normally using JRiver Media Center.
I've tried the recordings in my old system (3.3.8) and get the same result.
I'm using SAF for the system decoders and have tried v6.23 and the beta v6.30 without any success.
I found an old thread that recommended changing the HDHR Setup BDA compatibilty from "NextPVR" to "Default" and tried that without any success. I've also tried cycling through the various decoders, but the problem persists.
I've attached the logs from my most recent playback attempt. Please let me know if I can provide any other information.
Previously I had my recordings split over two drives (D:\NPVR and X:\NPVR), after building a new htpc I'v gathered all recordings on D:\NPVR. What sql statement should I use to change all instances of X:\ to D:\ in the whole database?
IN the web console trying to view the details of a program that was recorded on a channel that is no longer on the system causes an error
within details2.aspx.cs when the lookup Channel.LoadByOID returns nothing it then errors on the channel.name property
lines 200, 345, 508
2 out of the 3 main objects still have the channel name property
so I did a quick test on the LoadByOID function to see if the response is Null, then return the other details.
This is my first time installing NextPVR.
I downloaded it from here: "http://www.nextpvr.com/NPVRSetup_3_4_8.exe"
then ran as administrator on win7 pro, and here is what happened:

I am getting a DVB-C multituner product from company called Digital Devices. (BTW: Are the products of this bran supported in NPVR?)
Some of the HD channels in our country are protected by a TV-card and I understand that I need some kind of hardware to decrypt these channels.
One solution would be to get a CI+ CAM to PC with this http://www.digital-devices.eu/shop/de/ma...weiterung/. However CI+ doesn't support multiple tuners so should I rely to some kind of Soft CAM if I want to record more than one of these channels or what options do I have?
