Is there a command line form of the ARCHIVE function?
At the end of the day, after recording my shows to the local drive, I would like to move them to my NAS.
If this isn't possible, has anyone worked out a different method of doing this?
Running NextPVR 3.1.1. Trying to receive HD TV in the UK, using USB Freeview (HD) DVB-T/T2 TV receiver.
The problem: NO SOUND WITH HD CHANNELS, though HD picture quality is excellent. For all non-HD channels, sound and picture is OK.
In NextPVR/ Settings/ Decoders I've experimented with most if not all of the available options - with no success.
Using the same TV receiver with the software it came with (Total Media 3.5), the HD channels produce sound and picture. But I want to use NextPVR, not TotalMedia.
Very grateful for any suggestions (fairly simple ones, if at all possible). I think others have had this problem - but it's not clear to me how they fixed it. Many thanks in advance.
I just started using NextPVR yesterday for my TV viewing/recording.
Everything was working fine last night with NEWA and I could even access it outside of my network.
However, today I attempt to sign in and I am getting this web page returned:

This New feature was working - press record button during live TV and the TV Buffer is saved along with the rest of the program.
Since installing all the latest patches, (I think - will check tonight) when pressing the record button, the buffer continues to grow, but when you try to view it all there is a black screen with no sound. (I think the start time on the timeline was a very large minus number)
Anyone else having this problem?
Hopefully I can do more testing tomorrow morning - work got in the way today - and get some logs.
Seeing that Mediabrowser3 will support live tv at some point and considering the live tv backend is based on nextpvr I am wondering will there be support for the CI interface in the future.
In MediaPortal 2 the CI interface is supported in tv server 3.5 and is also based on net 4 framework can their source code of the Anysee branch be modified to work with nextpvr.

Push "Restart Recording Service" from the icon and get:
Error message: Unable to start service.ServiceProcess.TimeoutException...
Repeated, after deleting all npvr registry entries, got same result.
Zipped log files attached. Probably something simple, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Hope someone can help.
Hi Sorry but I'm getting the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" .net error before NPVR starts. When I hit continue the error keeps popping up. NPVR will not start and I have to use the task manager to end it. I have re-installed .net 4 and that didn't do anything. I have unistalled and reinstalled NPVR but no change.
Note: Before I made a change (I think it was trying to change the skin, I forget) everything worked fine.
Just an hour ago I was watching tv with NDroid for a few minutes. I stopped and when I just tried to watch tv again I couldn't anymore and I get an error in vlc ("Fout bij afspelen. VLC heeft een fout aangetroffen bij dit mediabestand. Probeer de mediabibliotheek te vernieuwen.")
When I watch the logs, there's an entry of an error in nrecord.log (each socket address can only be used once).
I don't understand this, please help.
Wim
p.s. There's no recording taking place, I am not watching tv on my server, nor on my windows laptop client. I can update the epg-data.
Finished putting together my homebrew PVR (HD-PVR2/NextPVR/ShawDirect Satellite set top box) and am now dealing with the following issues:
Video image recorded from NextPVR app is 480p (plays back non-HD with vertical bars) even though the captured content is 1080p 16:9 (using Component cables between set top box and HD-PVR / HDMI to TV). Image is in 16:9 aspect when played live in NextPVR however the quality is not as good as when live feed is played in Hauppauge's WinTV app. In fact, full screen WinTV playback is almost equal as direct feed from set top box. Am using all default settings at this point. Should I be using third party decoders??
Am running into a problem where the channel numbers provided by the online service do not match ShawDirect listings. Do I need to edit all the downloaded listing numbers to match ShawDirect's?? Am testing Schedules Direct service at the moment.
