We have five new HD channels in UK here from Tuesday plus Al Jazeera HD from a couple of weeks ago.
My NPVR setup has audio glitches on Al Jazeera HD and BBC News HD on Live TV [the other new channels have no audio until Tuesday]
Playback of recordings and even playback of timeshift are both OK.
Older HD channels are OK in Live TV.
There are two audio formats in the streams HE-AAC and MPEG [on all HD channels though]
However if I disable the MPEG decoder in Decoder settings of NPVR the glitches go away.
MPEG decoder choice other than disabled does not help.
I am using LAV Audio for HE-AAC.
Windows Firewall disabled
NOD32 disabled

The application remains in research.
Not is it possible to enter new configuration parameters, except by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
I think I am almost all setup, but I have one more step to go. Here's what i have:
Hauppauge WinTV 418 Video Capture set up (Hauppauge HVR-1850 tuner card) set up well. After a lot of tries, I am receiving channels and video and audio in NPVR. However, I can't get it to change channels. In Settings>Devices>Hauppauge WinTV 418 Video Capture, I have the Channel Changer Executable set to HaupBlast.exe, but nothing happens. I saw in a previous thread about running a command line "C:\Program Files\NPVR\HaupBlast.exe" 300 and that gets me the following:
m_IRBlasterPort == 0; hcwirblast.dll disabled
I've edited the irremote.ini as directed here, but still nothing.
The blaster does work. I have the system working great in Windows Media Center, except that Comcast put up a broadcast flag on the local channels (HD and SD) so that I can't record them now. However, the blaster works fine to change channels in WMC.
The PCH seems to lose connection after about 45 minutes to an hour. Computer, power settings set to High Performance, monitor sleeps after 15 minutes computer sleeps Never, HDD set to turn off after 20 minutes.
Not sure of the exact time, put on the football game fall asleep wake up around half time to a blank screen on the PCH. It has happened more than once. Both the sleeping and the blank screen (maybe I should follow a more exciting team)
I know you can change the capture bitrate via the config.xml file, but was wondering if there was a utility to make this process simpler? I have a Hauppauge HDPVR2GE and use it to capture HD and SD content. Being able to adjust the bitrate on the fly without editing config.xml would be a big plus.
Can the start/end times be set precisely in manual recordings? I noticed the defaults are in 10 minute increments but would prefer if I could set the times precisely to say 4:03 - 5:05. Can the sliders be adjusted to one-minute increments or can I enter the numbers directly?
If I want to find a show in the future that I want to record, let's say "Sleepy Hallow" is there a way to search for it in the guide, or do I need to scroll around looking for it manually?
