Shows on the menu but does not select.
Can check in Settings but tick is not retained on exit.
Is this only me or is an update still to arrive?

I have a Sony all in one PC, with a reasonably fast I7 chip and 8 gigs RAM, 2tb harddrive, with an Avermedia A350 tuner card built in.
I have comcast cable with a cable box going into the computer.
PVR recognizes the device (the tuner card as both ATSC and Qam) but when I scan for channels I get none.
Help please with this setup issue!
I've been noticing problems with comskip jump points again. The first commercial break in each show would be pretty close, and they'd go more and more off as the show went on; it'd always jump out late, and jump back in late. I've been trying to compensate for it by adjusting <ComskipStartOffset> and <ComskipEndOffset> with limited satisfaction, because the error gets larger and larger so no one Offset setting can fix it.
However I recently watched some shows through XBMC Videos and the comskip jumps were so perfect they were like professional edits, and it got me thinking about why it was going wrong in NPVR again after it had been pretty good for awhile.
I watched American Beauty last night, a 1080i recording that was 2:30 beginning to end (recorded from 1:30am to 4:00am). I noticed thought that when I play it in NextPVR with it's embedded Timing.Info, the timeline shows 2:29:36 total, 24 seconds short of what it should have been. I expect the total to be only a second or two off, it seems odd it would be off by that much. Towards the end of the movie, the comskip jumps were skipping large portions of the scenes after the commercial, and I'd have to rewind back a bit to catch the whole scene.
I looked carefully at the very last skip point:
Where it jumped to: 2:20:02
Where it should have jumped: 2:19:40
That difference is about 22 seconds, which is very close to the discrepency between the Timing.Info duration and the correct duration. The .edl file shows the last jump should have been at 2:20:01.
So the question is, why is the Timing.Info producing a timeline that's ~24 seconds too short? The last entry in the Timing.Info is 8976344,10833832384, and the entire .ts file is 10,835,006,256 bytes, so the Timing.Info does appear to account for all of the file except for the final second of data. But the timestamps at the end of the file should be close to 9000000.

I've also attached an NPVR.log of the following actions:
Start playback of American Beauty.
Skip 139 minutes.
Let it play until it completes the last comskip jump (where it jumps to ~2:20:02)
skip back 30 seconds (3x10 short skip), let it play until it gets to where it should have jumped (~2:19:41), pause, exit playback.
(no, this is not unique to this movie. All my recordings are like this... this is just the one I chose to analyze)
I'm a newbie to this app so forgive me if I overlooked something but I can't seem to get the NextPVR Samsung app to start properly. Therefore I would appreciate some advice as this seems a very stupid start to kick in.
I've succesfully installed the app and have been able to run it properly by first time installation. At first time run I've got the startup screen with the buttons TV-Guide / Recordings / Settings on my ES8000.So far so good.
Then I went to settings and filled the IP server address with 10.0.0.200 and kept the standard web port to 8866 as this are my NextPVR settings on my HTPC.
Then I've hit the button to connect to the NextPVR HTPC and the app was trying to connect to the NextPVR server for many minutes.
As I didn't get any confirmation on a succesfully connection to the server I've canceled the app and restarted the Samsung TV (power OFF/ON).
The IP field 10.0.0.200 with port 8866 should be OK as this are the settings to access NextPVR with the NEWA app on a remote PC in my LAN network (I hope it's not http://10.0.0.200 I needed to fill in in the settings server field). I'm not sure whether in the TV Smarthub center I was still signed in as "develop" at first time run but I guess that's only important for installing the Samsung NextPVR app.
So after restarting the TV and starting the NextPVR Samsung app once again the app display a message "Waiting for loading plugin".
From then the app hangs for many minutes with only this message and nothing progress. The only way to quit the app then is hitting the TV SmartApp button (TV return and exit buttons do nothing).
I guess something is wrong with the Samsung app NextPVR server settings or I need to do something extra on the NextPVR HTPC to let the Samsung app connect properly to the NextPVR server (Firewall is disabled).
I removed the app and reinstalled it hoping afterwards I could get back in the Samsung app main menu to change settings, did a TV reboot, and tried a couple more times.
Same message appears on the screen so the app hangs there waiting to load the plugin.
I don't know what is the average time to start up the app but if everything works fine I suppose it shouldn't be more than a couple of seconds?
I've installed the app today so I guess I have the latest version running for which I saw on the version log there has been a display message enhancement when not finding the NextPVR server.
Maybe it's this message I see now on the screen but I don't know for sure. Can't check the version in the app as it hangs in "Waiting for loading plugin" modus.
There is nothing wrong on the LAN network as from the Samsung TV I can access my Twonky media server app on the NextPVR HTPC and I can also access the NextPVR NEWA app with the Samsung TV Internet browser using http://10.0.0.200:8866/Guide2.aspx
Can someone shine some light on what is going wrong and how to solve this problem?

I am a newbie to NPVR, in the past I have used WMC and currently JRiver for recording TV shows. I came across NPVR by accident but having now played around with it would like to focus on it as my main PVR. The user interface leaves the aforementioned programs in the dust.
While playing around and testing NPVR today I have found that if a remote command is sent to the HTPC to send it to sleep while recording, it will honour the request:eek: Needless to say this is bad news for systems that are totally remote controlled because the turn off command to the PC should never be allowed when a recording is active or about to happen. In my case the recording was well on its way so to the best of my knowledge this is not the issue that has been covered before in this forum.
Is it possible to raise the application processor priority so that standby requests are ignored during recording in the same way as both WMC and JRiver?
Because I only use C# as a hobbyist, I have never really kept up with the advances in .NET beyond the level that GBPVR/NextPVR supported which was 2.0. Now I am being fascinated with some of the things I can do with

System.Reactive
System.Threading.Tasks
Websockets (I love the future of this, even though it really is 4.5 tech, I found a nice library WebSocket4) I didn't even know current browsers supported ws:// protocol!
I'm sure there are a lot of other cool new things we can do. Can any of the more experienced .NET programmers suggest other "new" things I can look at?
I use NextPVR as my main TV watching tool (OTA HTDV with HDhomerun tuner connecter via ethernet).
Everything's worked flawlessly for months, but for some reason, I seem to be having some issues recently where changing channels.
I think it's related to buffering... when I change channels, I hear the sound for a second (no image), then after a second or so the sound cuts. If I press FFW/skip then it syncs back up and I'm ok most of the time, but it's highly frustrating
I tried changing the TV buffer HD (not set to my SSD...), uninistalling/reinstalling, rebooting, etc... to no avail.
As a last resort, I installed XBMC (configured to used the NPVR backend), and it's not having any issues - when I change channels I see it buffering for half a second then everything's OK.
Any idea what could be causing this? I'm seeing this both with 2.6.2 & 3.1.1 (I blamed the latter at first, but after downgrading I see the same issues so.....)

I am working on an import utility from WMC with MCE Buddy to NextPVR
My questions are:
What is the OID number and how is it assigned? There appear to be two. One under recordings and one under recordings/event. What is the difference and how are they assigned?
What is the ChannelOID how is it assigned?
How does NPVR know that the import is for a series? It is simply the title names are the same?
Will there ever be more that one event per recording?
Are there any other useful tags like Duration? WMC does not appear to have endtime but it has duration. Endtime can be calculated but duration would be easier.
