I'm using a Terratec H5 USB tuner and "Scan Channels" comes up empty as soon as I click the button.
I'm using the attached INI that should be trying to check as many possible channels as possible, but no luck.
Scans with other INI files come up empty as well, so that can be ruled out.
Doesn't make a difference whether the Media Portal 2 service is running or not, so that can be ruled out as well (e.g., conflict due to a locked resource)
A scan comes up with plenty of channels if I use Media Portal 2, so the hardware itself must be working.
There would theoretically be an alternative using TVHeadend, but on a Windows machine that only adds truckloads of new problems through the Linux subsystem and a whole world of hurt thanks to tutorials that have been outdated for over a decade.

NextPVR seems to be my only remaining option for a working integration with Jellyfin, but I first need to get it wo work in itself, without hooking up another application.

I have NextPVR running on Windows. I would like to get Comskip set up.
I installed Comskip to C:\comskip
I created a ParallelProcessing.bat file in C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\scripts

However, I see no evidence of commercials being spotted, and pressing the play button when a commercial starts does not do anything.

With lots of channels its a long process finding the channel to match
Hello Everyone. I've had this problem before. Previously, used Win 10 to add an IP addressable network path similar to below.
Update the Nextpvr service with the LOG on as a local user
In the Web console, go to General, and select "Add Other Recording Directory"
\\192.168.0.112\Public\recordings
And this worked fine.
On a new Windows install, Server 2016, the Log on local user is not giving me access to the network and says "Unable to add recording directory:" from NextPVR. NextPVR works correctly as expected and records to the local C: virtual drive.
I have been using UIDroid since the original version, on two shield devices.
Went to use it last night on my 2019 Shield, and it opens up as per normal, but I cannot select anything, and cannot exit out of the application.
(have to force close the app)
I then discovered the latest version, so tried upgrading, only to discover that it does the same thing.
Curiously, UIdroid still works fine on the older 2017 Shield in my bedroom.
I installed the app onto both shields, and I believe that version was from March 2022, and was version 1.6x
I then completely nuked the uidroid app from my 2019 shield and rebooted.
I then installed the V2 app from the first post in the UIdroid forum.
Instead of a menu with everything non- selectable, I just get black screen, and can not access the settings menu.
After repeated app launches, I managed to get it to display the settings screen, and then manually entered my NextPVRserver details.
Still just get black screen.
I then installed an old version of UIdroid (1.44 or something), and it just worked as normal.
I then tried upgrading it to the latest V2 version apk.
The same thig happened, and the menu just becomes unelectable, and you have to force close the app.
Currently I seem to have completely screwed things on the shield 2019, and no version of UIDroid will work after installing anymore.
Tried clearing the cache, killing all data for the app. All unsuccessful.
Kodi nextpvr addon working fine, and likewise any other 3rd party IPTV app that can use m3u from NextPVR.
It's just UIdroid that no longer works on my 2019 Shield.
I am thinking it is a permissions issue, as when I go into the shields apps, and locate the app and select it, and then clear cache and data.... both do not change.
(ie. both would normally go to 0)
So, in the interim, I have had to nuke the app, and just using Kodi now until I find what is causing the behavior.
(grin) Uidroid on my Fire Cube devices work fine, but have not upgraded them to the latest version.
I swapped back to using Shield devices, as I have micro stutter issues with Fire Cube 3rd gen, and despite marathon efforts, I can not resolve it.
So, shield 2019 has no micro stutter, but now has no UIdroid either.
Not complaining, just making an observation, and posting to see if it could be an Nvidia Shield 2019 update that causes this behavior.
I have not completely powered down the device, so that might be the next thing I try, and then install the same version of UIdroid that is on the 2017 shield.

Have been using the NextUI client for a while now. (UIdroid I believe)
Anyway, I have it installed on my Amazon Fire Cubes, and my Nvidia Shields.
Not sure what has happened, but tonight the NextUI client on my shield just stopped working.
It comes up with the main screen, and shows the menu on the left, and can scroll up and down, but when I select any option like TV Guide, or even exit, nothing happens.
I went to the forums and found 2 versions in the first post.
Originally I used the exodebug file or whatever it is called, so I tried the latest one, and it installs, but just has black screen foever, and I can't seem to access the settings via long press of dpad.
Which one should I use on the Nvidia Shield?
Also tried the Mediaix version, and it can not find my server, and does bring up the settings screen, and I manually enter my server details, then it just exits out, and I can then not get it to work again.
Only thing I noticed, is that my NVidia Shield in living room recently updated some apps via the Playstore regular updates.
I have Kodi and Tivimate installed, and both are working with my Windows based NextPVR server, and it shows active donator status etc.
Have tried uninstalling NextUI, and rebooting, then installing latest version, all no avail. Also tried rebooting NextPVR windows server.
I just tried the Nvidia Shield in my bedroom, and NextUI is working perfectly. (it is a 2017 shield)
The Shield in the main living room is a 2019 model, and the version reported is '1.6.12'
I have just updated to NextPVR 5 and I am using it with a HDHomeRun Connect Quatro, a 4-tuner network device. I have been using this setup for a long time, maybe 5 years, with different NextPVR versions. I have never had a problem like this before. suika game
Lately, I have noticed that all tuners are locked to a channel but not in use by NextPVR (or any other app). It seems NextPVR does not release the tuners after using them. I don't know when exactly this happens. I am using the XMLTV EPG Grabber, which I switched to from the Schedules Direct EPG Grabber a year ago. Could this be the cause of the problem?
When this happens, I cannot watch or record any TV until I reboot the HDHomeRun device using the HDHomeRun utility. Then everything works fine again.
Is this a bug or a setting issue? It is annoying because it is affecting my recordings and forcing me to restart the device often.
Just upgraded from 4.2.5 to the latest version 6.1.5. So far everything is working good except when using the Windows Client the closed captions no longer work. Can you please point me in the right direction to get them to work again?
Kodi skips backwards after a few minutes of play, eventually crashes.
Hi I have a pi 4.0, I just wiped it and put in libreelec installed simple iptv and nextpvr and it auto configured (very impressed) both to connect to my pc running next pvr
As the title says, tv runs for a few then skips backwards repeats about 10 seconds and then eventually moves past thst spot.
Eventually it just dumps me out of the channel.
