When I go to Live TV, I'm seeing blank screen but get sound. I've tried all of the renderers (EVR, VMR9, VRM9 CUSTOM, VRM9 FSE, VRM7) with no success. However, I can record a show, then play back with both video and sound using Windows media player.
I'm using HDHomeRun Dual Tuner which connects directly to my router, Windows 7, NextPVR 2.6.2
I just got my Hauppauge PVR-350 working when I was browsing other features to get familiar with the NPVR. Anyway, I tried to do a manual recording and it failed to record, probably cause I don't have everything configured. Now Live TV doesn't work and I can't delete the file that I recorded which may be tying things up. I've attached the log files & I would appreciate some help!!
I have a few requests for the XBMC add on that hopefully are possible;
1) Allow specifying a group name to display channels from so that its possible to have a group for HD and a group for SD channels configured in NPVR and only display channels from either group in XBMC by specifying the group name in the add on (I assume its already possible to have a single channel in multiple groups in NPVR?)
2) Allow for a transcoding profile to be enabled in the XBMC add on (transcoding to be carried out server side) so that clients running on mobile devices can stream at lower quality rather than the original source format. (Only resizing should be needed, not changing to different formats)
The X-Newa add on already does this so I'm hopeful its not too hard to implement. As it would be great to have it in the official add on as the X-Newa version isn't using the PVR framework so not as integrated with XBMC.
I guess that if 2 were implemented then 1 isn't such a problem (as the server just streams HD in SD) so no need for grouping..
I just replaced my HDHR (last one had a defective tuner in it) and now that I've got it all set up again NPVR will not allow TV to play.
I originally had 18 tuners (9 each for the new unit and the old one) I finally figured out how to deleted the old stuff.
I have scanned for channels on all the new available tuners, with found results.
When I select either Live TV or a channel off of the EPG, a tuner light will turn on for about 5 seconds, then go out.
The screen shows "Please wait..." for about 30 seconds, then gives the error "The tuner you were using was required for a recording. Would you like to switch to watching a recording or exit back to the main menu?" with the only option being exit back to menu.
There are no recordings scheduled. There are no recorded programs on the system for the program to view.
I've removed/reinstall the program, with no change to the error.
I have x-newa running on a crystalbuntu frodo. works perfectly...however each time I exit and return the sever ip adresses resets to default and i have to configure again. is this normal? how can i set permanently?
I need to empty the EPG a lot because otherwise some channels get screwed with overlapped shows during the EPG update rendering it useless.
Is there any way to schedule the empty EPG?
