Not sure this is the right place to post this request. I discovered this feature yesterday and i must say wow this is awesome!! But i have a request or maybe it does this already and i have no idea how to use it. I run android on a tablet and my phone and was hoping that i could view without having to use airplayit. Since android has vlc can we just add a link that will startup vlc and then allow me to stream to my phone. I know that the streaming works because i have manually added the address to my VLC but it would be great to look at the EPG select a channel and view it just like from a PC. Maybe just create a link so i can click the link and allow vlc to open it.
Thank you guys and sorry if this is not the right place

With some hand movements and a few spells I managed to blow the life spirit back into this old ABIT mb, and with some work it will be a new htpc replacement for my son's.
I am not sure if there is any demand but I've just added support for my own use for direct streaming of live tv without timeshifting from HDHR devices, bypassing NextPVR and any server load. NextPVR continues to provide the EPG. Here is a sample with 720p and 1080i streams (over wifi) http://youtu.be/ySdXwEDPeSk and the playback speed seems quite good.
I could polish up the code for release if anyone is interested.
I've recently been trying to replace what I believe is a dying NMT device. I've been using GB/NPVR for many years, and have used it exclusively with clients. Given the relatively recent introduction of XBMC support, and the release of the raspberry pi devices, I purchased 3 raspberry pi's about 6 months ago and have been trying to implement a suitable solution using NPVR as a back end PVR device. I would really like to use the XBMC TV shoe features of XBMC, and have been playing with a centralized SQL media database installed on the PVR server.
My current solution is to run a redundant XBMC instance on the server with a plugin that monitors the recordings directories and updated the database. I was wondering if ImageGrabLite could be modified to update the XBMC media database directly.
I've seen this problem mentioned in other posts but never spotted an answer to the problem. Everything in my current installation of NPVR is working great with this exception: I cannot watch a program that is currently recording and there is never a resume option when restarting a program, it just starts from the beginning. Is this a setting I've missed? This isn't a deal breaker but I don't think this is normal.
This is on my client pc with all recordings being done on the server. I'm using SD Prime as the tuners
I know I am doing something wrong. I am trying to set up a clear QAM tuner using Schedules Direct as my EPG source. I've enabled the device, scanned and found 16 clear QAM stations using 'Default Cable Frequencies'. I have these channels enabled in my Schedules Direct line up and they show up when in my EPG in the GUI. I have a bunch of standard definition stations in my channels list too. Those show that I have sources attached to them, but I do not have any sources showing up for the QAM channels. How do I associate the scanned channel frequencies with the channel mappings from Schedules Direct?
I checked the wiki, but I didn't see anything about tying the two together. I know I'm overlooking something but I can't figure it out.
I am looking at buying a new PC for my server and I found a good deal for a great machine but it comes with Windows 8. I don't normally use this machine to watch anything but it will do all my recording. Will it be a problem if I install NPVR on windows 8? I have seen some threads that talk about problems with windows 8 but there are also threads about problems on windows 7 etc. I am wondering if anyone is running NPVR on windows 8 successfully. My old rig is XP and runs great. Windows 8 is so different I would expect there to be problems. I understand that Windows 8 is not officially supported but can anyone help clarify this?
I'm new to NextPVR, but I'm a developer by background, so I should be able to figure things
out - hopefully
One quick question - keymappings.xml has a list of key-codes and the corresponding
commands. Nice and simple
But all my google searching hasn't turned up a list of the possible commands that one
can use in this file. Does such a thing exist?
While we're on this - keymapping.xml seems to be missing some of the standard
commands - are there internal defaults?
On my system, there seem to be two behaviours for channel up/down - in one
case, the channel number changes and immediately tries to tune it. In another
case, the channel number changes and it waits for OK. I can't figure out which
command name corresponds to which case.
I finally got around to using IGL to get my recordings into XBMC. I get the series and episodes to import, but I have double of everything. I must have skipped a step somewhere. Below is a screencap of the series "The Middle". I currently only have one recording "The Middle_20130522_20002030.ts", but it shows up twice, and does not show up with the season and episode listed in the .nfo file:
Code:
