This got me thinking - it can't be right. I wonder how many folks have downloaded G/NPVR over the years in total, and how many actually use it regularly. It's such a fantastic program, with so many ways to have clients these days. I know I went through a fair few teething problems with a lot of hardware and software way back in 2005 when I started out, so I guess that may daunt some folks. NPVR was a huge improvement for beginners, I reckon, but I wonder whether the issue is simply deviation from other software, not that many people are interested in this approach to controlling their TV, cablecos having better epgs, the impatience of folks today for "setup immediacy" or indeed valid setup fears. k.
I'm trying to use x-newa with the latest andoid version of xmbc. I can install but the configure option is greyed out and the plugin doesn't work. I'm running xmbc on my nook hd+. I can use sub's pvr option but x-newa allows me to stream hd live tv on my windows laptop without stutter while sub's plugin stutters.
Hi, I'm trying to setup NextPVR using a Hauppauge 350 and I new to this so I'd appreciate some help. I installed the WinTV 7 software that was recommended and I got NPVR to identify the 350. I can't seem to get NPVR to scan the channels as I continue getting an Unhandled Exception error. I've tried a number of decorder options with no luck. The Unhandled Exception error message mentions that you can run just-in-time (JIT) debugging, and I thought this might be helpful but I'm not sure how to go about this. They talk about setting up a machine.config file, but the only one that I found is for .net framework. Is this right? Any help that you can provide would be appreciated.
BTW, I have NPVR set up on a 2.4 ghz PC with 1 GB memory, running XP SP3
hi
is there a list of tuners anywhere which work with diseqc and nextpvr.
my pinnacle pctv 460e sateliite stick works with diseqc in Dvblink but not nextpvr.... i want to use nextpvr though as its better.... is there any information i can get from the manufacturer which will let me add the code?
When I click on the NPVR tray icon and click show status the device screen opens but there is nothing there. Obviously WinTV 7 recognizes the 2250 and it is listed in device manager. Can anyone help me with this?
My npvr box has 2x 80mm fans and 1x 120mm fan. One of the 80mm fans has died completely, the other rattles and the 120mm fan sounds like an asthmatic gorilla when it's being ramped up from slow to high speed when things get too hot.
Any recommendations for makes/models of possible replacements would be gratefully received. As quiet as possible would be nice.
Yes, the nemesis to my PVR system has done it again, they played musical chairs with all the frequencies at some point today. Now I get to spend my evening remapping all our channels.
My wife says I'm a hater. I hate Comcast.
Thanks for letting me vent, I feel just a little bit better now.
