Trying to get NEXTPVR to work with Colossus on Windows 8.
Running latest NEXTPVR with no patches (2.6.2) and latest Hauppauge drivers.
WINTV7 is working.
NEXTPVR shows picture fine and changes channels fine. My ONLY audio input into the Colossus is SPDIF. I have read the posts here and set the ForceSPDIF flag to true in config.xml.
I have tried various decoders and renderers, but still no audio. If I right click on LiveTV and select "Audio Stream", it always says disabled.
I get this error when opening the nDroid Service Settings in Win Server 2012.

I've recorded a few hundred Simpsons episodes over the course of a year or two using Windows Media Center, but have recently decided to phase over to NPVR completely. Unfortunately, NPVR has no way to figure out which episodes of the Simpsons that I've already recorded. Is there any way to import or manually tell NPVR which episodes I've already recorded? I don't want to record and automatically transcode a few hundred Simpsons episodes if I can avoid it.
I saw the option to import recordings, would that work for MCE recordings? I assumed it was for transitioning directly from GB-PVR to NPVR, so I didn't look into that option too much.
Would having the Simpsons episodes already imported in NPVR help?
Thanks so much ahead of time and sorry if this has been discussed before. Tried Google and a forum search, but I couldn't find anything directly pertaining to my problem.
I have one re-occurring recording for all new episodes of Warehouse 13 on SiFy channel that isn't working. IT never records. I deleted an recreated it and I checked for conflicts also. When I look at pending is shows nothing for it even though I know there is a new episode coming up. Any ideas?
Update: Never mind. I just found out that the episodes that I thought were new were the last two from last year.
I would really appreciate some help with this! I recently bought a DVBSky S952 DVB-S2 dual tuner with the intention of building my own media server. I struggled through several days of trying to get this thing to work in Ubuntu through various unrelated hardware failures and incompatibilities, and although I got it installed as a device, couldn't seem to get MythTV set up to receive a broadcast.
I decided to switch to Windows which I'm much more familiar with just to try and get started. My card drivers are installed, I've attached the cable which feeds the signal to my current Freesat set top box (also dual tuner - works fine with a single feed and a pass thru cable) and at this stage, all I want to do is to find out whether the damn card works! I've tried scanning 28.2 ASTRA 2, EUROBIRD 1 (28.2 E) and it picks up just a few channels, but if I try to view Live TV on any of them, I just get a black screen. No OSD, just black. I've seen some posts from other people with a similar problem but they seem to be able to record and then watch the recording - playing back a recording for me also gives a black screen.
I've basically been going round in circles with this for so long, I have no idea what I'm doing any more and I would be so grateful if someone could give me a quick idea of how to set NextPVR up to receive UK freesat channels. If I know I'm going in the right direction, I can eliminate user stupidity from the equation and concentrate on possible hardware issues.
It seems as though if my set top box gets a reasonable signal, this card should be able to as well, or is that not the case? If someone can just give me an overview of what to put in the 'Digital Recorder Settings' dialogue box to pick up UK channels, that would be really helpful.
I'm sure I must be missing something really fundamental here but I just don't know where to go with this any more!
I just formatted my server and installed server 2012 on it. nextpvr seems to work on it but it cannot find my tuner in the gui.
attached is the npvr.log file, which does see the device.
I haven't installed wintv7 (I don't have the install disc with me so it won't let me install it, god knows why they require this when you are using their hardware....)
