I am currently using 3 x HDHRs. The list of devices in NPVR lists these devices as ATSC, QAM, and as HDHR Primes. I am only using them as ATSC. I have tried deleting the extra devices in NPVR, but they keep coming back and when they do they are enabled. Is there any way to permanently get rid of the extra tuners.

Hi, if we do a series record with the first episode just about to start, then the first episode is not recorded. logs attached.
c.20:50 set 'the secrets of crickly hall' set to record new episodes.
first episode due to start at 10min later at 9pm (18th nov) but logs show recording service only picking up first episode on the 25th.
Has exhibited this behaviour several times before - usually we're setting series record within an hour of the first episode.
We;re viewing and scheduling via a client pc if it makes a difference.

I'm a newbie. Finally got my Ceton InfinTV PCIe configured. When I try to play any channel on LiveTV I get several seconds of audio, but no video. The .ts file grows as long as I am "playing" the channel. MediaInfo thinks the .ts file is a MPEG-TS with apparently valid MPEG Video in it. VLC and XBMC will NOT play the .ts file, however. I have stared at some logs with debugging enabled but nothing jumps out at me as wrong. Suggestions?

It looks like my system wake up for EPG update at planed 2:00, but EPG started at 2012-11-18 06:07:48.375 [DEBUG][8] Updating EPG and this caused 1min. recorging...
Why? Looks like HTPC was running 4 hours for nothing? That is strange...

Hi, nPVR was working fine up untill a few days ago now when I open the program all I get is a black screen.

Can anyone help me and tell me what and how to get any information you need to help fix my issue.

I have checked the forums and cannot find a solution. When I connect to the NEWA interface via a dyndns IP address, I can access the TV Guide but when I click on "View Live", the VLC player cannot play the file and reports Error!

I have read in other forums about opening ports 7647 and/or 7648 and having disabled the server's firewall and opening these ports in the router settings, I still have no success. Furthermore, the user NEWA guide mentions that these can be changed in the config along with bitrates, etc. I see no such settings in the Config. I am using NEWA 1.27 with NextPVR 2.5.9

Does anybody have any ideas how I can configure in such a way that I can view Live TV outside the LAN?

I am new to NextPVR and am having trouble with a SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime HDHR3-CC. My problem is no picture or sound during Live TV or playback of a recording, although I can manually record a channel with NPVR and externally view the resulting .ts file with VLC media player (good picture and sound). I have searched the forum and tried many suggestions without complete success.

The Comcast cablecard appears to be successfully activated. Using the SiliconDust HDHomeRun Setup utility, NextPVR is selected as the Main Application, the status of the three tuners is "OK", and each tuner has successfully scanned several hundred channels. Channels are showing excellent picture and sound quality using the HDHomeRun QuickTV utility.

In NextPVR, the three HDHR devices have been setup and each has successfully scanned 525 channels. The ATSC and QAM devices were not setup. For rendering, video is set to EVR and audio and music are set to default. For decoding, MPEG2 video is set to Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder, MPEG1 audio is set to Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio Decoder and the others are disabled (I've read that I may need to set AC3 Audio to something like AC3Filter to get sound at some point). I've not yet setup EPG/XMLTV/Schedules Direct so I have no TV Guide.

My computer runs Windows 8 64-bit with an Intel i7-3770 cpu and uses the embedded Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor for video. The NextPVR.exe, NDigitalHost.exe, and NRecord.exe were each added as allowed apps in Windows Firewall (same problems with the firewall completely disabled). No other firewall is installed. NPVR is version 2.5.9 and no plugins have been installed.

Log files are attached. Key events are as follows:
about 19:28 - begin Live TV, channel 9, KUSA (no picture or sound)
about 19:28:48 - change to channel 8, GovtAcc 1 (no picture or sound)
about 19:28:57 - change to channel 7, KMGH (no picture or sound)
about 19:29:30 - exit Live TV, select Recordings menu
about 19:30 - begin manual recording (about 2 minutes) of channel 4, KCNC
about 19:37 - begin playback of 19:30 manual recording (no picture or sound here, but verified OK externally with VLC)

One error in the log files is "Error initialising Direct3D: ...". However, the windows "" utility reports DirectX 11 is installed and Direct3D acceleration is enabled.

Any help will be appreciated.

I was looking at my scheduled tasks and it had a task to start executewithuac.exe and it looks like it's coming from the virtualclonedrive directory...for mounting ISO files. Is this a legit program? Can I disable it?

I've searched the forums and put together a bat file to rename my recording. I'm using nscripthelper.

Here's where I'm having issues.

I have a folder with 150 recordings. I went through and edit and converted them, etc... and moved them into another folder and cleared up the space on my recording drive. Before I did that, I also copied over the recordings xml file. I'm now trying to rename those files in my archived folder but realized that once i moved them out of my recordings directory, the xml file no longer shows them there. In a bat file, can i change where to look for the xml file?

I have been using v2.5.9 since a few days after it was released on my PVR and I seem to have a small problem.
When I try to play a DVD it starts at a very small size. I guess this is native 720x576 pixels which then displays about 1/4 size on a HD screen.
So then I can't find any way to make it full screen without getting out a keyboard and right click onto 'Aspect Ratio' and click on 'Full Screen'.
I cannot do this with an MCE remote and it really is a pain.
I have searched all the settings and cannot find anything that will give me a full screen 16:9 display without keyboard intervention.
If only there was a tick box in the right click display menu 'Aspect Ratio' that would stay ticked.

Am I missing something, or is there a way round this problem?
