I am glad i found this before i dropped a load of money on Atom / Windows clients.
I notice this plugin seems to only be on XBMC Windows / Linux platform, where do i message to try and see if this plugin will work on the Apple iOS platform as well.
With Apple TV v2 / 3 able to run XBMC this is a perfect hardware for this client (and Apple TV being US $99 new, super cheap as well). Way better than all hardware designs i came up with due to its cost.
I have a WINTV HVR 1255 installed and working with Windows Media and WinTV however I really want to use NextPVR. After installing and searching for channels which were identified I attempted to view live TV. I was presented with an error stating "Unable to communicate with recording service" I have installed all pre-requisites and disabled the windows firewall. I do not have any other firewalls installed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
For this new timeshift feature to work you also need to have installed the attached NShared.dll patch. If you dont have this patch, it falls back to the old non-timeshift live tv.
Quote:v1.0.1.0
- added: new experimental timeshift support. This requires updated backend components, otherwise falls back to previous non-timeshift live tv.
- added: new 'advanced' settings page where timeshift can be enabled/disabled.
- added: radio support, mainly to workaround an XBMC channel group bug.
- changed: now using XBMC curl abstraction for HTTP requests
- added: detection of live tv having to exit if tuner was required for a recording. Shows user a notification message when this was required.
I'm doing a re-install of NPVR on my Windows Server 2008 R2 machine and I can't seem to get channel tuning working. I've had it working on this machine before but can't remember everything I did to get it working.
I've set up Desktop Experience and the BDA drivers so my tuners (4x HVR-1600's) show up just fine but when I do a channel scan, no channels show up in the list. If I look at the log, it looks like NPVR is actually getting a channel lock but for some reason the channels are not showing up in the list.

I have the DBC-Stick sundtek MediaTVPro.
The stick is installed properly but not recognized by npvr. Is this card not supported? Is there a way to get the stick working with npvr?
The drivers for the card are BDA driver 64bit, the system I am using is server 2012.
So I spent the last couple of days trying to figure out why IRSS translator wouldn't work...it turns out it was because of a non-graceful failure of IRSS translator. I had moved the dolphin emulator executable which the IRSS sometimes controlled and as a result IRSS translator wouldn't start. Instead of a graceful failure in that it would start but just won't control dolphiin emulator it just would give a windows error and fail to start.
Hi Guys...a set back in my road to a upgrading my htpc. After messing around with irblast.exe and irblaster.exe and stuff like that IRSS suddenly stopped working. I have a windows 7 back up but there's not much documentation. Does anyone know if win 7 system backup does incremental backups?
I think that it does incremental backups if you do a scheduled backup. If you do it manually then it's a full backup deleting what was there before.
Also, does anyone know how much space it will take? I read that it will take up to 30% of the HDD space.
So I tried following this guide (PDF) to setup my HDHomerun Prime with NextPVR. I'm able to add the first tuner fine and scan my channels. The problem happens when I edit the XML file to add the last two tuners. When I open the device settings, I still only see one NetworkRecorder device (I'm not sure if this is supposed to be the case), and when I click that NetworkRecorder device and select Device Setup, I get this error:
"Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
