Would it be possible to include error messages for failed recordings perhaps in the recording description? Now nothing happens when you go to play failed recordings and it is not clear what is wrong.
Deleted individual episodes of recurring recordings get rescheduled every day. This has started up on both of my dvrs, both running v2.5.9 (Oct 2), unpatched.
ive merged channels with the same name, on dvb-s nz. i have about 3 entries for tv1, 2, 3 and a few others.
in the tv guide, ive noticed that i have to press left/right 3 or so times to move left/right.
one of these feeds/channels has a slightly different description (2 were called "Gangs of New York" the middle one was called "Movie: Gangs of New York"), which suggests the channel has duplicate epg data from all signals, instead of a master source.
on all my channels with just one feed left right works fine, only on the ones with multiple feeds does it have the problem.
Background: We were using gppvr for years and about 6 months ago the program stopped launching. It would say it's running in task manager but did nothing.
recently I decided to try nextpvr. I stopped all gppvr services, made sure all pre-reqs were installed and installed the program. However when trying to run I get a error about .NET Framework, "Unhandled execption has occurred...". I have to end task for the program to close. I naturally thought the issue was .Net. I uninstalled and re-installed all .Net programs and ran windows updates and still had same error. I un-installed next-pvr and re-installed and still had the same issue.
If I use the record button or the channel up/down buttons in XBMC during video playback with my HDPVR the XBMC client hangs. For recordings after a retart the file is being created ok, but with channel up/down or from the OSD EPG, after I kill XBMC I also have to reset the HDPVR and restart the recording service.
I'm a new user and may not be used to the culture of this forum yet, please forgive me if I unwittingly violate any rules.
Btw, I have installed NextPVR 2.5.9 (the latest version after 2 Oct 2012), but I am experiencing problems with certain weekly manual recording not working properly. Sometimes they simply do not record, or the weekly calculation seems wrong (ie if I select Tuesday, it sometimes will record on Monday or Wednesday).
I don't know whether it's related to the next point I'm listing. That is, when listing the recurring recordings, I notice that the display of the start and end times are 8 hours back. For example, a start time that I listed as 9pm will appear as 1pm when I view the schedule. This seems to only affect the display and not the actual schedule, hence the recurring recordings still do so at the times I specified, other than the Weekly recording problem that I specified in the previous paragraph.
My country is UTC +8, so it makes sense that the times are 8 hours back. I wonder whether there is a bug in the calculation of the day of the week that may result in the improper recording of weekly recordings?
So I got NPVR working -- still got a few issues to work out.. I tried firing up XBMC on another machine (a Mac running OSX 10.7.5) and loaded the latest plugin and am using it with the latest XBMC nightly build (10/10).. When I give it the IP of the NPVR server (10.0.1.12) it takes it just fine but when I enable it, it fails.. Attached is the log file for XBMC & NPVR
Hi all.. I've got a server that is running Win7 and I've been using this server with SageTV for the past 7 months to communicate with three HdHomerun dual-tuner boxes..
Today I'd like to setup NPVR to use one of those dual-tuner HDHomeRun boxes -- I've disabled Sage for that box and installed NPVR w/o issue. I added the device and added a firewall hole for both NPVR and NRecord without issue. NPVR is able to channel scan the tuners without issue and I've got a SchedulesDirect account for EPG.. However, when I go to live tv I get nothing..
I tried telling NPVR to update all EPG data and it was going REALLY slowly -- taking 50 seconds per channel to update..
At this point I'm lost on how to proceed with getting these dual tuners on-line and active.. I checked the live TV temp data and the size = 0 if that matters.
