sorry if this has been mentioned, did a quick search for "slow" but didnt find anything.

ive tried on several clients/platforms
- raspberrypi with raspbmc rc5
- normal pc running openelec
- windows 7

on all of these clients it takes a long time for the PVR addon to start, it has that loading message in the top right corner. seems to take about 30 seconds or more.

when using 4tr this takes a couple of seconds.

can something be done to improve this? when you need to reboot your computer because of experimental xbmc releases, and you're in the middle of a show, you tend to miss quite a bit with this extra delay.

thought it might be IIS compiling/loading the DLLs into memory... sometimes that can take a while...

I am running NPVR on win7 danish version, and when i try to scan for channels I receive the following message:
Unable to start device:
Unable to locate capture fiter´s 'analog video in' pin
attatched zip file with screen shot an log file.

I have read about this in another thread, but I thought it was fixed.

Lots of times when changing channels it fails, sometimes I only get sound, but the most common problem is where xbmc just says buffering, and never start to play. Also as you can see from logs, tuning is rather slow, don't know if you can read anything from the logs but I hope so.

I've made some debug logs from xbmc, please note I'm using build from 1.3 api, so if changes has been made regarding this issue at later stage please ignore.

Hi,

I still have an old 4:3 CRT TV but none of NextPVR's aspect rations show the correct image for me.
I understand that I can create my own aspect ratio in config.xml and I understand what the four values mean.

I tried to watch a recording today and the video was a little messed up (ATSC, MPEG2). Is the video converted by default or streamed as is? When I tried XBMC a year or so ago it seemed to not play very nice with Intel (Sandy Bridge) Graphics so that may still be the case.

I have 4 Colossus tuners that I use with DirecTV tuners and capture over HDMI. I have been using this combination with FTR for almost a year and with NextPVR briefly before that. I am in the process of moving back to NPVR and I've run into a snag. When I set up one of my Colossus cards to use HDMI and try to watch something I get no video. The decoders are set to LAV for everything. I don't think NRecord is using HDMI as the log diles say it is using video input 0 and Audio Line In. Attached is the log file. Any ideas how to get this to use HDMI as the input?

Nice and fast nice work. But the TV guide will not show, I can't find out why.

I am trying to get NPVR up and running so I can use the XBMC plugin. I beleive I have all of my tuners added but when I go to view LiveTV, all I get is a black screen. The audio seems to work. I tried changing to the ArcSoft decoder and the video starts working but no go with FDDShow. Do I have have something wrong with my configuration?


Also when I select the Arcsoft decoder, if I go to properties, I can select DXVA 2 and/or DXVA 1 but the choices don't stick so the next time I go to properties, the options are unselected.

Extend End time seemed the correct thing, I extended the show to 10:45, then I checked it after I updated the show, and it seemed OK, but it didn't work. The black text is the actual show that was too short, the blue clip from NEWA is just an example.

Should I have used Pad rather than extend?

I've search this forum and see this has happened before, however since I only use XBMC as a client, I think maybe it's related so I post here.

Timeshift files is not beeing deleted. I did a complete fresh install of 2.5.9 today and I notice timeshift files are not deleted.

I assume you need some log files npvr.log or nrecord.log ?

but I'm off to bed now.
